Listen I'm not gonna over-hype the game, it's not for everyone, I'm just gonna say the last time I sat for 11 hours straight and played a game in one sitting, it was The Last of Us in 2013. Don't get me wrong I've binged my fair share of Sims and RDR2 since then, but holy moly this game had me invested way more than I was prepared for. - Graphics - Fine for what it is, it's not pretending to be photo realistic here, but it's functional, it's not obnoxious or anything - Gameplay - Personally I loved it, it's accessible and text-based, if you like puzzles that make you think outside the box a little you'll probably like it too, if you want hacking realism or something you can easily look up the answers to you might hate it - Audio - Not bad, on par with the graphics, i.e. it's not trying to claim you're here for the background music. It's not obnoxious, it's just, yk, not the main feature - Audience - I'd say adults, specifically parents, but there's nothing "adult rated" here, more "maybe play it before you let your kids play it if you're worried" 'cause there are some references to things like suicide and murder, but it's not graphic - PC Requirements - Potato. Everyone should be able to run this. - Game Size - <1gb - Difficulty - Easy to learn / Hard to master, it's not *hard* to play exactly but there's definitely moments when I felt like I'd done something impressive lol. - Grind - Nothing to grind - Story - "It'll replace your life" IMO. I mean, it did for 11 hours lol. Not lying, I started playing "just for an hour" to wind down before my kid came home from school (she'd broken something of mine and I was trying to calm down before she came home) and by the time she came home I was so invested I handwaved the broken cable to keep playing, lol. - Game Time - 11 hours for me, at a fairly leisurely pace, I'm sure others are gonna be all "oh well I did it in 4 hours" good for you dude lol - Price - Well worth the price (honestly less than £10 feels rude, like I wanna go see if this guy has other games or Patreon or something now lol) - Bugs - I found one minor one that might have just been me, and it was easily fixed by restarting the level (which is pretty forgiving, you don't have to re-do a bunch of stuff if you already have the information you need) Seriously, good, *GOOD* game, I wholeheartedly recommend it even if just to support the creator.
I can't really recommend this game. It's a fairly interesting concept but the biggest issue is that most of the things it has you actually do just aren't that fun. I think the development team realized that, giving you options to make one of the common activities easier or disable it all together. The story tries to be engaging and have some twist and turns but it's just rather cartoony. Also, it was strangely political. It would have been good to better announce that. I generally look to games for escapism and try to avoid ones with current world politics.
The game is truly not meant for everyone. If you do not have an interest in digital puzzle games or investigating things or looking out of the box, you will not have a fun time with this. But if you do, you certainly will. Some of the missions here are challenging, some are simple. The plot is interesting but the OST is a bit mundane especially with the tunnelfox system it puts you through. Luckily there's a feature where you can let the game do it for you. Overall, I would recommend it but please consider looking at the different reviews and walkthroughs and determine if it's something you'd wanna buy.
Incredible game. Compelling story, fascinating puzzles, a good amount of dread, sorrow, joy. totally a must play in my books. The "tunneling" mini-game to get to each "job" is very tedious and gets old quickly sadly. Would suggest trying it once or twice but then switching it to auto. Makes the whole thing a better experience!
My spouse and I really enjoyed playing this game together and working as team to solve the challenges! It was a ton of fun having to comb through the emails, chat logs, articles and other bits and pieces that contained pertinent info. The puzzles were varied and the story was compelling! We enjoyed the twists and turns of the story. The controls were intuitive and the game was a very nice length. There was only one thing we had to look up that we believed was unclear until we realized that we had just typed the phone number in incorrectly. Our most favorite challenge/puzzle was the one with the politician's affair, very rewarding when you complete it. We know the game was released in 2020 but we are holding out hope that there will be a sequel, one can wish :) If we had to give it a score out of ten we would say 8.5/10
It is a cool investigation/snoop through someone else's computer puzzle game tied together by a story of a hacker looking for their daughter. There is a couple of mechanics that are not though out too well (one of them you can luckily turn off) but it is overall a enjoyable experience. Just don't expect having to do anything actually hacking like it in. Works without any issues on Linux with Proton (9.0-4).
Didn't like it.
Got this because I was looking for a investigative mystery solving type game. And I was having an ok amount of fun for a while. The puzzle weren't amazing and the mini games they make you play were generally annoying but not too time consuming so I gave it a pass. But then it makes you do a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ air traffic control minigame. That's when I was done. I want to investigate and solve a mystery, not play a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ arcade game. Not for me.
Puzzle aspects were good. The limited save system and arcade sequences were annoying.
I like the premise of the game, and the first few missions are fun. I hit a brick wall with the "traffic control" mission, very annoying, guess I'll leave the game there.
