Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 20 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10.5 places towards #1, and the 2,491 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Choose your side in the American Civil War: Real-time campaign, spanning from Secession to the end of the war, with historical objectives for both sides.
Five campaign scenarios (Pre-War, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864) and twenty (20) stand-alone battles from 1st Manassas in 1861 to Appomattox Court House in 1865.
Change history: What if European superpowers intervened to end the war, or Lincoln lost the presidential election of 1864?
Scott’s Great Snake: Lay siege, raid and blockade your enemy on land and sea or use blockade runners to keep the life-lines to Europe open.
From Fort Sumter to Appomattox: Watch closely the morale of your citizens and troops. As the war drags on, fervor turns to fatigue, the treasury threatens to run dry, and measures like drafting will cause unrest.
Keep the armies marching: Build and manage the flow of supplies to your armies. Utilize and expand railroad lines to supply and move armies for the first time in history!
Pivotal battles: Fight battles lasting multiple days on historical battlefields. Use engineers to build pontoons and dig trenches, see reinforcements change the tide and commit your reserves to defeat the enemy.
Grant vs. Lee: Manage hundreds of historical commanders with personal attributes and specialization. Famous commanders inspire soldiers and citizens alike and loss of reputation can be irreparable.
Command Great Armies: Huge armies of infantry, cavalry and artillery, with realistic command structures and historical Order of Battle.
Bring the Civil War to life: Amazing Civil War re-enactment and combat footage from LionHeart FilmWorks, and an original soundtrack of old time music and drum and fife band.Updates

The level of details can suck you in. Fun balance of strategic, operational, and tactical warfare.
Great combination of Total War and Civil War organization, command and control, and resources management. Worth playing.

Updated Review: After 100+ hrs, I really can't just give the game a 'yes.' Yes on sale, because I'd argue it's still hours of good fun. Devs have also really appeared to nearly be abandoning work on the title though, and there are quite a lot of bugs present in game and wonkiness in it's performance and general stability sometimes. Still a very fun / authentic gunpowder-era war game, and probably the first Total-War-esque game I've played that actually tries to kind of capture the scale of this kind of warfare, including having battles lasting more than one day, etc. Bugs that have been present for years are still present. Pathfinding issues that have been present for years are still present. AI cheats in so many ways that players literally edit campaignprefs themselves just so they can actually PLAY the game and not be blocked from it from a readiness system that doesn't seem to even effect AI, all sorts of other quirky little bugs like sieges you're clearly winning and bringing reinforcements too automatically losing when your reinforcments get there, things like cities you've captured changing control every single reload/load/return to world map after a battle, etc. The game has great potential to be THE gun powder era game of the last 10 yrs but it really will not be. Devs cannot fix things you'll encounter often, like the invincibility bugs routing AI cavalry have had for years getting stuck remounting their horses, becoming invincible and killing your men with ease (lol). Devs cannot fix some of the unresponsive pathfinding/collision issues. Devs cannot really strike a balance with the AI passive/aggressiveness in general, etc. Ownership of places you've captured and occupied reseting the odd time, etc etc. If you buy the game, you will absolutely enjoy it in streaks, but in basically every single gameplay session you'll also encounter something that ruins that momentum and enjoyment and it's always bug related, not because the game is actually challenging you in real ways. Only way to really play the game is seeing what kind of campaignpref stuff people change like retreat distance, readiness changes, etc It's honestly just endlessly frustrating in ways that are not fun, which is a real shame since this era of gunpowder war is already kinda niche as is and we never see games for it. I recommend passing unless you can get it on sale. To be clear, it is still hours of fun, and quite easy to edit lots of various campaign prefs too being plaintext accessible files and stuff. But in a single session of play you'll probably also encounter anything from UI to AI bugs and so on that always ultimately lead you to putting the game down for a while because of just how consistently it seems to happen.
The ai just spent two full days of battle trying to walk across a river they could have gone around in a few hours. During those two full days, the few messianic units that were able to walk across water as command wanted found themselves in a new kind of sea. The sea of miniballs whittled away what started out as a vastly superior force as they trickled in one by one. This game is a bug riddled mess. Enemies deploy in the middle of your lines, Soldiers walk across rivers, and the formations walk backwards into enemy fire. Now the developers are on to a new game which will hopefully get more polish than this one did. Having said all that, I'm still having fun. A bad game can be fun! The order delay and initiative systems make for dynamic and interesting battles. The feud system was a neat idea, but without many meaningful ways to interact with it ends up feeling rather random. The integration of strategic and tactical layers made campaign map gameplay impactful and interesting outside of the battles.
pretty neat for history buffs
I hope this team makes many more games like this. Very very good game.
This game now that it has gone though several updates it's so much more fun my only complaint is that the ai even on the hardest difficulty is too easy but that might just be a me thing
Best American Civil War game out there and it's not even close.
