Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Choose your side in the American Civil War: Real-time campaign, spanning from Secession to the end of the war, with historical objectives for both sides.
Five campaign scenarios (Pre-War, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864) and twenty (20) stand-alone battles from 1st Manassas in 1861 to Appomattox Court House in 1865.
Change history: What if European superpowers intervened to end the war, or Lincoln lost the presidential election of 1864?
Scott’s Great Snake: Lay siege, raid and blockade your enemy on land and sea or use blockade runners to keep the life-lines to Europe open.
From Fort Sumter to Appomattox: Watch closely the morale of your citizens and troops. As the war drags on, fervor turns to fatigue, the treasury threatens to run dry, and measures like drafting will cause unrest.
Keep the armies marching: Build and manage the flow of supplies to your armies. Utilize and expand railroad lines to supply and move armies for the first time in history!
Pivotal battles: Fight battles lasting multiple days on historical battlefields. Use engineers to build pontoons and dig trenches, see reinforcements change the tide and commit your reserves to defeat the enemy.
Grant vs. Lee: Manage hundreds of historical commanders with personal attributes and specialization. Famous commanders inspire soldiers and citizens alike and loss of reputation can be irreparable.
Command Great Armies: Huge armies of infantry, cavalry and artillery, with realistic command structures and historical Order of Battle.
Bring the Civil War to life: Amazing Civil War re-enactment and combat footage from LionHeart FilmWorks, and an original soundtrack of old time music and drum and fife band.Updates

Truly fun and in depth. Allows you to get somewhat of an idea the frustrations and worries leadership during the civil war experienced.
You need to spend several hours just learning to play but the game has bugs so you'll never know why somethign doesn't work. The Tutorial itself takes a cvouple hours, but it has bugs too! so there'll be parts of the gaem you just have to figure out! The game is suppose to be complex but complexe games need to be fine tuned, this is the opposite of that. its a mess.
It's a really interesting game with a unique method of combat. If this game ever hit release and fixed all the issues my goodness i could see this becoming a revolutionary addition to many sim/strat games. These are just my thoughts though i think it is worth the money
好好好
very nice game love it so much
This game gives me mixed emotions, and I have played it during several iterations of development since the first beta. The Good: There are no other games, that have come out within the last 8 years or so, that can match the scope, and ambition of this game. Especially when it is centered on the American Civil War. The UI is aesthetically pleasing and I love the inclusion of historical documents, and there are tons of them! The army management on the campaign map, and in battle, is wonderful. This game is the closest to "real" that I have come across and it is enjoyable. The multiple campaign start points, which are historically based, and the historical battles are wonderful. Seeing one brigade holding the line in a close battle, then seeing it is the Irish brigade with the right commander is just amazing to see if you're a history nerd. The game manual is regularly updated in wonderful. It is the size of a small novel, but it is one of the better game manuals out there. The bad: The finances tab is a b**** to manage and understand, which often leaves me forgetting about it entirely and somehow doing ok. Weapon ordering is somewhat broken, especially for the CSA. You can change your subsidies to unlock the production or importation pretty quickly in game. This doesn't sound like a problem on its own, until you just place an order for everything you can, the max amount, and let the game run. After about 12 months into the 1861 CSA campaign I had an army that was larger, and better equipped than the USA while my credit rating was still fine. The way weapons are ordered need changed to reflect production or importation limitations based on the campaign map. Armies tend to retreat wherever they want, often to illogical locations. I won a fort battle outside Richmond with 4 federal corps, and they all immediately withdrew when a confederate corps, who was also in the last battle, marched closer. My army then withdrew, not down the peninsula as you'd expect, but into central North Carolina, with one corps almost walking to Wilmington. This caused me to not have those forces weeks in game as I waited for them to finish marching and to regain readiness. The game does need polish still, especially for the issue mentioned above and for unit movements in battle. I had a battery glitch into the map, be shown with Burnside carbines, and be useless for an entire battle. Now, that sounds like a lot of bad, but those issues are more recent for me and are easier to remember as they stand out so clearly from the absolute mastery this game is when it works well. I have played about 60 hours on the most recent patch, and this game has gotten better with each patch. I will update this review going forward as the game makes changes, and as I remember.
-Although the unit models aren't exactly 1:1 representations, and the combat still lacks that truly grand, spectacular scale (and even with such lackluster optimization, battles with tens of thousands of units still cause lag), the entire sequence—from marching to pre-battle positioning, to reconnaissance and skirmishes—finally has real meaning. Breaking free from the 'supernational will' to roleplay as a career officer is an even more pleasant surprise. Looking forward to the next project!
