Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Choose your side in the American Civil War: Real-time campaign, spanning from Secession to the end of the war, with historical objectives for both sides.
Five campaign scenarios (Pre-War, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864) and twenty (20) stand-alone battles from 1st Manassas in 1861 to Appomattox Court House in 1865.
Change history: What if European superpowers intervened to end the war, or Lincoln lost the presidential election of 1864?
Scott’s Great Snake: Lay siege, raid and blockade your enemy on land and sea or use blockade runners to keep the life-lines to Europe open.
From Fort Sumter to Appomattox: Watch closely the morale of your citizens and troops. As the war drags on, fervor turns to fatigue, the treasury threatens to run dry, and measures like drafting will cause unrest.
Keep the armies marching: Build and manage the flow of supplies to your armies. Utilize and expand railroad lines to supply and move armies for the first time in history!
Pivotal battles: Fight battles lasting multiple days on historical battlefields. Use engineers to build pontoons and dig trenches, see reinforcements change the tide and commit your reserves to defeat the enemy.
Grant vs. Lee: Manage hundreds of historical commanders with personal attributes and specialization. Famous commanders inspire soldiers and citizens alike and loss of reputation can be irreparable.
Command Great Armies: Huge armies of infantry, cavalry and artillery, with realistic command structures and historical Order of Battle.
Bring the Civil War to life: Amazing Civil War re-enactment and combat footage from LionHeart FilmWorks, and an original soundtrack of old time music and drum and fife band.Updates

Overly complicated !
It's a great game that offers both a great strategic map experience combined with a good/unique battle management system. My two biggest gripes: Weird AI behavior: Sometimes your units will just think to themselves stuff like: "Today we will just randomly expose my flank to the enemy" or "Hmmm what's the worst possible way that we can can carry out that order and get wrecked." Or my personal favorite "Well we're here in this great entrenched defensive position, we should totally leave this spot and walk out into the open in-front of all those enemy units. Followed closely by "Oh you want us to re-adjust or lines slightly in these entrenchments? Sure, we'll march forward out of the defenses, turn around putting our backs to enemy fire, march back into them, turn sideways exposing our flank and then...oops we're routed from casualties, run away." The battle mechanic I HATE and that probably makes me quit the game more than anything else is that if you're holding defenses and winning the battle when night falls if the enemy has gotten close enough to your line it will forcefully push you out of your defensive position and give that position to the enemy, totally ruining your battle-line and turning the tide of the battle regardless of how well you're doing. You can also use this mechanic to cheese enemy defensive positions by just waiting until it's close to dark and then rush a bunch of troops close to one part of their defenses, it will push them out at nightfall and give you the position for the re-deployment phase. If you love history and particularly the american civil war this game is a must have and what it offers is more than enough to let you overlook some of the AI issues and just re-load saves when your troops occasionally do something incredibly stupid. If you're just a hardcore battle strategy game player though you're going to get frustrated with this one when your units every now and then do the most non-sensible thing imaginable and cost you the battle. 9/10 If you love history and the American Civil War. 7/10 If you just like strategy/warfare games.

I appreciate the grand scale but its just not a fun game. clunky ai and combat
One of the best strategy games in the RTS genre, and certainly of the Civil War era. No multiplayer mode for now, let's hope the creators keep their word and we'll get it. We keep our fingers crossed, It's good, even very good, and with multiplayer it will be perfect
Very ambitious, has SOVL
So far I am giving it a negative mainly due to the incredibly powerful Confederate AI. The confedercy never had more men under arms than the North, yet all through 1861 and 1862 they do. In July 1862 as the North I can only recruit very few men with nothing more than obsolete muskets. Really? The North had plenty of Springfield rifles and recruits by this time. What I hate most is that the game with the help of the enemy AI creates the same boring long slog that the war really was. It is years of frustration as the North no matter how much better my strategy is than historically. I mean really? Sending the bulk of the Northern army to invade the peninsula south of Richmond. Grant can't win an easy battle at Huntsville with a superior army? I let the AI run my economy and construction. It lets my credit rating fall below a B while building no new armies (I have neither men nor rifles). I tried playing the 1863 campaign as the North. Grant won at Vicksburg, but then he kept running away from the smaller C counterattack, though his army was at full morale. So the C retook Vicksburg. I can't play a game when my star general with a larger high-morale army behaves like this. I kept ordering him back to Vicksburg, but he continued to enter Arkansas instead. Also, where are my Springfield rifles and men? I'll uninstall it.
