Gourdlets

Cute game, but cuteness is all there is to it! The customization for gourdlets is lackluster, the decor lacks color options and kinda hard to decorate with. For example- I just wanted to make a library. However, there was so little I could do that I had to combine it with a daycare and study room- AND IT STILL LOOKED SO BORING. Another example is a witches house I tried to make! Well... more like Glinda's bodyshop since the only witchy items were basic bedroom staples and 6 different bottle shapes to mimics potion. What was the point of making a gothic house if you can't even get a dark color that not grey/black or a purle/lilac. Not like that could help, since I couldn't change the swatch of anything that wasn't a table or bed. Except for the gothic set. You can't swatch the gothic set. [i](Like seriously, why can't I swatch even a single GREY standing lamp???)[/i] Like I get that my creativity is responsible so what I make and how it looks, [b]but it was sure as hell strained to get something to look good![/b] [b][i]My issues tldr[/i][/b] - Color swatches are too plain - Decor is not varied enough - A majority of decor doesn't even have color options - The gauge you fill up is tedious in it's final stages Also, be careful not to make your island too big. There's more space that outdoor options. I will say, however, the plants are nice!

i really really wanted to like this game. i feel like there's not enough to do, especially for a $5 game. i was able to 100% it in about 3 hours (so ~$2/hr), and i just wish there was more to do. the decorations (which are the main mechanic of the game) aren't very varied, and unfortunately the actual gameplay is just that. the last achievement is a GRIND and i felt like i just needed to idle my computer to have my gourdlets mature.

like playing minecraft but you only watch the villagers

first of all, the decorations are really cute. i guess that's the reason why majority voted yes to this game. however, after the initial couple of hrs unpacking most of the furniture/decorations, the game becomes boring. with no goals or nothing to do except watching the gourdlets wandering around. recently, I am not even able to launch the game. i tried it on different days and my screen froze. none of such happened to my other game. overall, I think this game is overrated and I do not recommend it.

Gourdlets foi uma surpresa muito agradável para mim. É um jogo extremamente relaxante, sem pressão ou objetivos obrigatórios. Gostei muito de construir no meu próprio ritmo e ver os personagens interagindo com o cenário. É perfeito para quem quer descansar a mente e aproveitar uma experiência tranquila e aconchegante.

first off, this is NOT a game for everyone. the item choices are very limited. gameplay feels the same, youre working with a handful of options for creation. a lot of people would hate the limitations, but i definitely dont mind it. it doesnt feel overwhelming. its like im given a handful of toys and told to use my imagination. this is my “my brain shut down but i want to play a game” game for me. limitation is the birth of creativity and all i played this on steam deck, runs perfectly fine!
