The Kingdom of Myrtana has been invaded by a relentless horde of orcs. Desperate for powerful weapons to repel them, King Rhobar II orders the mining of vast quantities of magical ore, setting every available prisoner to work in the Khorinis mines. To ensure no one escapes, the King commands his most skilled mages to erect a magical barrier. But something goes terribly wrong, and the magic spirals out of control, trapping everyone inside. I hope that some of the Devs will read this. I played Gothic 2 back in its release. i played it more than 5 times, explored all outcomes. After few years i played gothic 1 and i liked it also. not as much as the second title. When the third game released i couldnt understand why the creators of something that unique changed the game. in more why it was not complete.... All other games after that,(elex, risen, arcania) i bought them because it was advertised that was from the gothic 2 developers and all games were mediocre. ALL!! Please dont make the same mistake. Take your time in making the perfect game. You gave us a small masterpiece with the gothic 1 remake. Make a small masterpiece with the gothic 2 remake and use all your resourses to make the Gothic 3 the game it never was... Dont be sellouts anymore. Regarding Gothic 1 remake review: It is good, buy it!!
Recommend this but only after they patch it out for REAL.

As a Gothic veteran I'll be very honest about this game. Pros: - Lots of nostalgia - Lots of easter eggs - Exploring is lots of fun - First playthrough is great, second one even better - The devs listened to a lot of feedback - Very good RPG - Lots of hidden treasures - Diversified enemies Cons: - Lockpicking difficulty is very inconsistent - There is a lack of quests after you join a fraction. It feels like the world just becomes a backdrop for the mainplot. Lots of characters become meaningless - Magic is overpowered in early game and weak in late game - Hitboxes are inconsistent - Meelee combat is mediocre - Patched out the possibility to find very good gear early - Smithing is worthless you will always find better weapons. Smithing your own op weapon would've been fun - Summons are stupid - Enemy AI is lackluster - Most boss fights are kinda boring if you can parry their attacks or deal enough damage Over all it's whining at a high level. The game is really good and surprised me alot. it fixed a lot of issues that the original had and never felt like it's wasting my time or me doing meaningless stuff. Best moment is when you are strong enough to just explore the world. Can recommend to everyone that like fantasy RPGs

First of all, a big thank you to the developers and everyone involved in the project! The game is remastered incredibly well, keeping the spirit of the game. I've been a massive fan since I was a kid, having played the original many times. It's been great 60 hours and I very much hope the second installment will follow! I highly recommend this for the fans of the original and I'm sure newcomers will very much enjoy the game as well. A few welcome additions like riding and flying were a very nice touch :) *Played as a warrior

Un juego hecho por y para los amantes del Rol Dark Fantasy, muy completo en todos sus segmentos, un combate espectacular y progresivo en dónde dependiendo de los conocimientos que vayas adquiriendo cambia sus animaciones. Un juego inmersivo en el que sientes que vas progresando poco a poco junto al protagonista, descubriendo nuevas cosas, un combate sumamente difícil y desafiante donde te hace replantearte las decisiones que puedes llegar a tomar, un juego extenso que te ofrece muchísimas cosas increíbles y sobre todo un rendimiento bastante pulido. No tengo la mejor pc y aún así me va increíble en la máxima calidad. Lo recomiendo muchísimo, es simplemente CINE.
+allgemein sehr gute Umsetzung +super Progressionsgefühl besonders in Akt 1-3 +gut gemachte neue Quests z.B. im Orklager für mehr Stimmung -ich bevorzuge den Originalsoundtrack, der war minimalistischer was besser gewirkt hat -der Loot an versteckten Orten und die Alchemie könnten stärker sein -Akt 5 & 6 sind wie im Original ehr nervig, die Stärke des Spiels liegt in Akt 1-3 -Der Endbosskampf ist zu lang gezogen (manchmal ist weniger mehr)
