Not a game. The landing page welcoming you for the game is 10x better than the game.
This game gave me newfound respect for filipinos. 10/10 shmup. My butt was clenched the whole time
The biggest hidden gem I ever seen in gaming
Not as hardcore as it looks. If you're unsure, try it then refund it. Don't judge the game by the screenshots / trailers. In this game, a stage is split in mini-sections, where you have to stay alive against a single pattern for only a couple seconds, then on to the next one. There's a checkpoint at each pattern. This turns the traditionally hardcore genre of bullet hells into a very casual experience. Not only respawns allow beginners to overcome patterns quickly, but this also means there's gonna be constant action since the game can afford to have you dying a lot. This game is perfect for streaming. Can be picked up very easily, co-op and community content available, gets you challenged while you won't usually get stuck long on the same pattern, and any viewer will quickly catch up what's happening on screen. While the restrained movement mechanics might seem like variety will quickly run out, there are still many possibilities for advanced stages. There's of course bullet trajectories and smaller gaps requiring more precision, but the slayable enemies might open a lot of options as well.
this game is so cool, i wish Philippines is real
I admittedly never heard of Good Knight and ran into it in a Fanatical bundle. I added it into the bundle I bought as a throw in because I thought the soundtrack was awesome from the trailer. I was pleasantly surprised and had an absolute blast playing this game. Obviously, the soundtrack is awesome. You can hear it in the trailer. But there's so much more to enjoy! Good Knight is a bullet hell with a twist. Your character is always running around in a circle. There's a slow down button although I never used it. The only other button is to change direction. You either run clockwise or counter clockwise as you avoid all the bullets coming at you in every direction. The game is not punishing at all, checkpoints are very frequent. It feels almost more like a puzzle game than a bullet hell as well. The best way I can describe this game is it's Super Hexagon if Super Hexagon was more of a bullet hell. The game is really fun, avoiding everything feels super satisfying. Genuinely a hidden gem on Steam. You should absolutely play this game.
This is fun. One button bullet hell. Barely know what I'm doing, but it doesn't matter. I'm having fun dying and trying. Probably a hidden gem.

Positives
Discussing the positives, the game is quite simple but is quite addictive and challenging, where you will need to be precise and play near perfect most of the time in order to evade the numerous bullets directed at you. Secondly, the setting and the plot made the game even more interesting. Finally, the game has a workshop and a boss rush mode to make it even more interesting to the players seeking a challenge.

Negatives
On the negative side, even if the controls had only three key commands, the right click was bad. It is supposed to slow you down, but when you press it, it also makes you run in the other direction, making it quite uncomfortable. Also, even if the story looked interesting, the storytelling was lacking. In addition, the true ending was also disappointing; I expected a bit more from it and felt the time invested after completion was unnecessary.

Conclusion
To sum it up, this is a decent original indie game that is quite challenging and has more content available besides the main campaign. But the controls and the storytelling can both be improved. The game deserves a 6.5/10.
I was not expecting to get hooked on this one, but I did....
