good story
amazing walking simulator, just press play and feel the vibes of discovering what happened after you gone home.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Gone Home left me with mixed feelings. The atmosphere is great, the setting is intriguing, and the hour I spent exploring the house was enjoyable. The storytelling style is unique, and it definitely kept my attention. But the game is very short. You can finish the story in about an hour, and there’s even an achievement for completing it in under a minute. The “fastplayed” tag honestly fits perfectly. I just wish the experience had been a bit longer—maybe two or three hours—so the story and emotional beats had more room to develop. I wouldn’t say I’m upset, just a little disappointed. I expected more, but the hour I did spend with the game was still pretty enjoyable. I just wish there had been more to dig into, because the foundation is really solid. Kinda reminds me of What Remains of Edith Finch. All that aside.. YAAYY LESBIANS :)
It's not long, but it is an effective story. It feels very real and hits pretty close to home. I'm also happy about the ending. At least I thought it was a happy ending. I think there's still some sort of cat spirit that wants to eat all of the food in the house. This is scary because I am familiar with and very wary of just how terrifying the greed of cats can be.
Games like these are the reason there should be an "average" option when writing a review. The story is quite good, at times unpredictable, but also rather simple and immature. The way of narration is bizarre. Your character voices thoughts of your sister, but not with the sisters voice, but their own? And they discover these memories by finding random ♥♥♥♥ around a big ass house that has like a gazzilion hidden rooms and compartments. Super weird. Many story related elements are also very difficult to understand, as most of the notes in the game are handwritten by a person who can't write at all. And they are read only, no voiced notes whatsoever. Indies are not made for achievements, but it has to be adressed too. What on earth are these achievements? A story driven genre, getting an achievement for finishing the game in couple minutes? Damn. Not good, not bad, but only buy at a high discount. And do not expect too much. This is no What Remains of Edith Finch, Firewatch or The Suicide of Rachel Foster. Rather a similar concept, but toned down a ton. Still worth playing at some point if you like indies.
Played this a long time ago. I think it was short, and I don't remember much of it.
Cozy and a bit creepy at the same time. Short and nice story.
