que trilha sonora incrivel e que historia linda, pensava que a sam estivesse morta mas no final foi uma experiencia e tanto.
I loved this game. One of the first walking simulators I played, I enjoyed exploring the house, reading/listening to the story bits. Also, the soundtrack was great! I'd only had the most peripheral awareness of the Riot Grrrl movement as a tween, but I enjoyed what was in the game as well the excellent background music! I loved it all. More than just the game, story, and music, though; Gone Home gave me huge amounts of nostalgia. It wasn't just the place (grew up in the Pacific Northwest), it was the time period. Playing the game felt like it was *I* that had gone home. Back to the early/mid 90s. Even forgetting the nostalgia, I think it's a good game, if a fairly short one.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fun small puzzle exploration, nice way how the story unfolds.
I came for copper and found gold, Gonna gift this to my Gf, I'm crying so hard.
Beautiful game, impactful, even years after I first played it.
After having played Gone Home back in 2013 when it first came out, I recently started having an interest in playing it again, this time in VR. While there is no official VR support, I managed to get it working with the help of someone from the Flatscreen2VR modding community (see details and setup in the community hub/discussions and search for VR). It wasn't a streamlined experience as the mouse cursor isn't visible, making it harder to highlight objects and notes, which in turn are not visible when you have them in closeup (so you can't read most of the notes or solve the combination lock puzzles). The map, inventory and menu are also not rendered, so it's not optimal. But! The payoff is huge. Walking around the house in all its detailed glory and observing everything there is to observe is a real treat. I used the Vive Pro 2 on max settings (500% rendering), making me finally say: I have really Gone Home! Obviously this game wasn't disigned for VR (as some items are massively out of proportion), but if it one day is, it will be the ultimate way to experience this game.
I was looking for something similar to Firewatch and found this gem. Definitely worth playing.
Excellent short narrative game. A poignant reminder that in every life, behind every door in your neighbourhood, is a tragedy/comedy/drama that could rival the literary giants. The story of Gone Home is not a new or particularly ground breaking one, but you are inserted into it in a way that is rarely achieved in other mediums. You feel that lump in the back of your throat that comes from an unexpected phone call, or at first glance of a friends unfamiliar expression. It looks at the complexity of the family relationship and the way in which your parents transition from caregiver to peer. Well worth playing on a rainy afternoon.
This affected me a lot more than I thought it would. It's one of the best games I've played, you should give it a shot. Go in blind. Just experience it
Edited to add that mine is a 2026 comment. If you are in a similar situation as me as a Gen X father (or mother) of a teen girl looking for a good gaming experience you will both enjoy over a weekend AND you and your daughter both know nothing about this game - don't read any spoilers here, leave and just buy and play this. Millennial parents would get it too. I am a married father with two teens at home, the younger of whom, 13 year old daughter, I played this with. I should be clear - it's single player game so she had the controller and we both discussed what to do etc for the whole game, which took only a couple sessions to complete. $20 on Steam and that price is about right. It's period specific. Yours and your daughter's ignorance of what to expect from "Gone Home" is the game's real strength. It won't land as well with a teenage son I'd wager. In that specific context, I HIGHLY recommend this game. "Gone Home" was creepy, very suspenseful, relatable, relevant, extremely well-written and acted and the graphics and soundtrack are incredible in how they build a setting and the photo realism of examined items just works. I will say that neither of us knew anything about this game going in, or even the genre (walking sim I guess?) and those two facts are very important to our overall high praise for this game. The team behind this hidden gem from 2013 that does not feel dated in its execution at all, masterfully piques the player's imagination as you play as Katie, retracing the steps to discover where her family has mysteriously disappeared to.
