Gone Home is one of those games that feels completely different by the end. I went in expecting horror because of the storm, the empty house and the weird atmosphere. Spent half the game opening doors slowly waiting for a jumpscare lol. But the more I explored, read notes and learned about the people living there, the vibe changed completely. It’s not really about scares. It’s more about loneliness, memories and that weird feeling of being alone in a place full of someone else's life. Play it at night with headphones and no spoilers.

Every market we collect.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.75/day in the week to Aug 3 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I played this when I picked it up in a Humble Bundle probably near to when it was first released. I liked it then and I just played it again, what is it, 12 years later and its still (in my opinion) a fantastic short game - I enjoy the riot girl sound track, I was a teenager in the 1990s so I get some nostalgia from it too. Most of all its a beautiful and very sweet story about love.... you could say its a little trite, but its told very well and the voice acting is perfect. I can see why its devisive on opinions... "I was waiting for something to happen" - yeah its not that sort of game, its a walking simulator with a narrative that unravels as you go. It does have a slightly creepy atmosphere and its a really interesting mix between that atmosphere and this sweet love story that winds between it.
Got this because of the Devs previous work on Bioshock2. As a walking simulator I found it initially engaging but ultimately boring, mostly because I cared little for the story. However it is well done, and short enough not to outstay it's welcome. LGBT+ recommended.
I cried a lil bit. Not much in the way of gameplay but hey you can finish in one sitting. 7/10
