Good game with a cool story and characters. I don't know if it's worth the full price, as it is short, but it is still good.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.75/day in the week to Aug 3 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Gone Home is a walking simulator that’s surprisingly calming and really easy to get into. It’s a short game, perfect for when you want something lighter in between bigger, more intense titles. You can finish it in one sitting, and it feels like the gaming equivalent of a palate cleanser. The whole experience is just you, an empty house, and a bunch of small clues left behind. You slowly piece things together by exploring, opening drawers, checking notes, listening to tapes, and noticing little details that hint at the bigger story. The game never shouts the answers at you. Instead, it gently encourages you to follow the trail and make the connections yourself, which is part of what makes it so fun. The point and click interactions feel really natural and a bit nostalgic, almost like rummaging through your own childhood home. The graphics also add to that strong 90s feel. The lighting, the furniture, the old TVs and posters all come together to create a warm but slightly eerie atmosphere that makes exploring the house feel strangely familiar. Since the game is short, it flows really nicely. It doesn’t drag and doesn’t try to be more than it needs to be. You just walk, explore, uncover memories and slowly understand what’s really going on. Gone Home is simple in the best way. It’s emotional, cosy, and memorable without being overwhelming. If you want something short, story-focused and easy to relax with, it’s absolutely worth giving a try.
dont buy it on pc you wont get the last achivement due to a bug the achivement called under 1 minute you can do it just 57 seconds and under and it still wont pop the achivement not just me who is struggling their are others who carnt get it you can olny get it on console but not on pc the movement is a lot slower compare to console
Just understand that this is a semi-non-linear walking simulator. You spend all your time clicking everything and listening to someone complain about their life. That being said, it's a very nice one. If this is what you want, it's a good purchase. You never get the joy of the first playthrough again, so savor it slowly. The achievement hunting is not as bad as it looks. A few walkthroughs and guides will make it much better. All hail Christmas Duck. 2.5 hours to finish the first time. Another 2 hours for achievement hunting. Overall rating: 8/10
It was super fun figuring out the puzzles and finding hidden spots with clues. Kept me locked in from beginning to end.
