June/2026 I think 3 hours is the max time need for "content/story" in AE currently. So my feedback is based on that :) The base for all the goals they set for themselves is there; now it "just" needs balancing and a reason to build or collect - as well as content :) My points so far, mostly the negative, since they stood out and are in need of attention :)

I had a rather long frozen screen in the tutorial level. But after that I had no performance issues at all :)
I wish the town would protect itself from the creatures. How do they survive each night :)
Creatures in the underground dungeons spawn nearly right away after leaving the viewport. That was really annoying. I wish they would stay dead, and at worst, respawn maybe during the night?
I am not sure why I need to collect or craft so much. I did not even plant a thing. I found the stick that does magic-bullet things, bought the nice armor from the starter town shop, and I was set. I got so much to eat by killing all the mobs; I never ran out.
The hand-cursor, showing me where I set my marker, should look different (in any way) than my cursor hand. I got it confused with my mouse curser a couple of times.
I get stuck on some "things" like contact glue and do not slide. Which left me stuck in a place I did not expect to be stuck; I had to press the opposite-direction key to get unstuck.
The mount to ride around is rather fast = overpowered. I mean, I liked it, but it felt like cheating to get around the whole map without taking any damage or being in danger.
Why is my mount gone after I get out of the dungeon again? I want to continue my journey :)
I have no good feeling how big/small things are (locations/distances) when opening the map. Something feels "off". First time I saw the quest marker far away, I thought: Hell no, I will not travel that far with my current gear. I can barely kill a few things around me.
The first night outside feels very much overpowering. Later I totally ignored it and went to the desert, where nothing happens?
compared to what I used, I can see 100x more resources being available than I need. Just a fact, I need to stop collecting stuff :D
I love the fact that you can collect, for example, lights from dungeons, but I was hoping they would bring much more light than my torch.
I somehow miss a "quest log" or overlay. Unless we aim the dark souls style :D
I needed to get used the input layout. I still hate it when I accidentally moved my scrollweel and consumed something instead of hitting an enemy.
I really missed "healing/mana potions" or did I miss them? - I mean, did NOT need them. I just missed them :)
That's all for now :)
Gombo
Vale a pena?
10 Jogos parecidos
Cuphead, só no estilo Don't Starve, survivalzão top Terraria, não deixe o gráfico te enganar, top 1 da steam Tinkelands The Survivalists Core Keeper Necesse Starbound Palworld Deus Mantle
Gombo is a really nice game! I have been waiting for this game for quite some time now, and it was definitely worth the wait! The art style is beautiful. I love these "old cartoon" vibes, and the game is full of small hidden details that you discover while playing, which is something I always love in games. You can really feel the passion that went into making it. Definitely worth trying!
Note that this game is *very* early access. All content can be done in about 2 hours, and is one of those "you get what you pay for" kinda situations. That aside though, it's very well done as of right now. The graphics are enjoyable, the music is nice, and the combat surprisingly feels great. There's little quests for you to do, and neat little magic scrolls to find that can spice up your gameplay via offensive or utility magic. There are problems however, a few of which I'm assuming are just due to the game being EA: Unless I'm misunderstanding, the game tells you 'night is deadly, stay near the light to not get obliterated." Yet night monsters will hound you down despite being next to light. Monsters can destroy your base a bit too easily. My entire base got demolished from 2 attacks from a mushroom. The campfire says it heals you but does not. The main way to get money early is by selling to an NPC, who does not have an interface; you need to sell the item in your hand to him 1 at a time and it's tedious. Item prices are wild; one log is worth 2 gold (you get like 5 per tree) while an iron tool is worth 6 gold. The soundtrack is great but it only played for like...5 minutes of my entire 2.3 hours of gameplay. Then there are actual problems with the game; Enemies spawn just off your screen almost immediately after their spawn zones are off-screen. This can lead to situations in dungeons where you have to kite backwards through an area you just cleared through, but the group of enemies has already respawned despite you just clearing them out not 10 seconds later due to enemies almost immediately respawning off-screen. Magic grossly outshines melee. Why would you use a sword (that admittedly has generous range) when you can use a wand that basically has infinite ammo, infinite durability, long range, and does the same damage as your sword? Mind you this is a starter wand that you can buy for 20 gold (you can natrually hit this point in like 5-10 minutes) compared to the highest tier sword you can make currently. "endgame" is obtainable in less than 5 minutes once you realize you can sell logs and buy everything from the merchant by spawn. Pretty fun game but still needs a lot of work. Good to pick up now as a little pallet cleanser from whatever other thing you're grinding, but will definitely have to keep checking in on it for updates.
Items are disappearing from chests once items are placed inside. Otherwise, super fun so far!
