About
From Santa Monica Studio and brought to PC in partnership with Jetpack Interactive comes God of War Ragnarök, an epic and heartfelt journey that follows Kratos and Atreus as they struggle with holding on and letting go.
The sequel to the critically acclaimed God of War (2018), God of War Ragnarök picks up with Fimbulwinter well underway. Kratos and Atreus must journey to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as Odin’s forces in Asgard prepare for a prophesied battle that will end the world.
Along the way, they will explore stunning, mythical landscapes, and face fearsome enemies in the form of Norse gods and monsters. As the threat of Ragnarök grows ever closer, Kratos and Atreus must choose between the safety of their family and the safety of the realms.
Atreus seeks knowledge to help him understand the prophecy of “Loki” and establish his role in Ragnarök. Kratos must decide whether he will be chained by the fear of repeating his mistakes or break free of his past to be the father Atreus needs.
The Leviathan Axe, Blades of Chaos, and Guardian Shield return alongside a host of new abilities for both Kratos and Atreus. Kratos’ deadly Spartan skills will be tested like never before as he battles gods and monsters across Nine Realms to protect his family.
Journey through dangerous and stunning landscapes as Kratos and Atreus search for answers.

One of the best video game intros of all time holy. If only atreus' dating sim section was toned down.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 1: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
By far some of the best storytelling in the series (No Spoilers)
Ragnarök improves on the original in everyway you can imagine; from the combat with an improved mastery tree to even more armor with unique perks to build around this game is astonishing. My favorite thing about the game personally is the acting and how each actor portrays their character how I'd imagine they'd act. the only thing this game falls short on is the writing near the end of the game and a few plot concepts that never got fully finished or fleshed out. It feels near the latter half of the game they just push the plot in anyway they can just to get to the ending and the final boss. Other than that this game is perfect and worth the replay on NG+ and a playthrough of the free DLC Valhalla which plays like a rogue like which is super fun!
Overall: 8.5/10
Gameplay: 10/10 Combat: 9.5/10 Story: 8/10 Endgame: 7/10 Note: Due to my computer specs I did have some performance issues but tweaking in settings fixed almost all of them. I played on the lowest graphic settings for most of the game and it still looked fabulous.
(i have way more hours on this - steam deck said 21,200 hours apparently probably an offline mode issue. Also performance on steam deck is great - solid 30 fps the entire time) Definitely a great improvement over the first game in terms of gameplay. The new spear weapon is kinda boring though. Story is great, although unironically the parts where Atreus is on his own was so lame. (especially the giant forest bit why did that take like an hour and a half to go through) My only complaint is some of the boss fights were really inconsistent? i felt like the side-quest bosses like the berserkers were insanely hard, but then the main storyline bosses (especially at the end) are so crazy easy it was ridicioulus. The FINAL boss fight of the story, i literally had the guy stunlocked with like 6 runic attacks, time stop, and like multiple staggers bro was 80% dead by the time my combo was finished. Funny game 4/5
