About
A delightful comedy platformer where you play as a goblin trying to escape from a team of greedy adventurers. Handcrafted levels with pixel art and carefully programmed physics interactions: climb walls, hang from chains, push barrels onto the heads of your enemies, lure them into traps with the promise of gold coins…
Goblins & Grottos comes with a built-in campaign, starting with the death of your family and following your progress through dungeon levels until you reach the surface world and journey through the forest, the town and the mountain as you try to track down your family's killer. While the adventurers level up and get better equipment and skills, the goblin does not. That’s hardly fair is it? And all they seem to care about is the amount of xp they’ll get by killing you!
G&G also has a built-in level editor and online sharing facility. Build your own levels, share them with the world, and play other people’s levels! Define the traps, puzzles, and adventurers in your level.. define their skills and what chat they say as things happen to them. You can even add a story to your level through the other creatures, scrolls and books you put in it, and through the game's powerful cutscene-editing system.

A very nice game my kids enjoyed a lot. It really deserves to be owned.
Meh big potential but it's only puzzle solver ;/
https://youtu.be/qfiIcZGDOfM The 2D platforming and light puzzle solving holds up far better than the dated meme humor used in this game. Jumping, climbing, and swinging all work well and offer a lot of options to explore.
Quick review: 2 ### Metric ### 1- Garbage. :( 2- Did not fulfill the purpose. 3 - Ok, fulfilled the purpose. 4 - A good game! 5 - Just play and be happy. :)
A really cool idea but you fight the controls more than anything.
A difficult, and sometimes frustrating puzzle game that rewards you for keeping with it At a glance, this seems like an action game, with the usual script flipped and you're playing as a bad guy. Though the premise stays true to that, it is decidedly NOT an action game. This is 100% a puzzle platformer, and a pretty unique one at that. You traverse through a series of dungeons in an MMO. Your goal is to chase down some pay to win jerk who killed your father. Along the way you encounter many locked doors, platforms, and traps. This leads to many hidden paths and goodies for those who don't want to just stick to the basic path. The big selling point of the journey is that you can kill other heroes along the way. Being a puzzle game, most of this will be via traps; opening trap doors into spike pits, dropping boulders on their heads, and so on. But there's room for creativity, such as making them chase you into a bit, occasionally getting grenades to throw at them, and even making the idiots kill one another. It's satisfying every time you pull it off. However, there's one really frustrating aspect of the game that seems to turn it off to many people: the physics. While the controls are pretty tight, sometimes things can get screwy, like being crushed by boxes you push, the hit box not registering on wall or chain grabs, or just the enemy AI going insane and ruining your traps. It's not game breaking by any stretch, but these frustrations DO hold back the fun sometimes. If you like puzzle platformers, and are looking for one with a bit more of an action undertone, this is the one for you. Just be aware the game physics WILL ♥♥♥♥ you off sometimes. But at least the devs pretty consistently update it.
