Goblin and Coins II

Неплохая игра, понравилось возможность зарабатывать деньги, и тратить их во внутри игровом магазине на весьма полезную прокачку. Не очень понравилось то - что на прохождения уровня даётся очень мало жизней, за счёт этого игра становится более хардкорной, и это одна из причин почему я не прошёл игру до конца. В целом игра сделано добротно, багов не обнаружено, поэтому игра заслуженно получает от меня 👍

Great Game, Its a great sequel to the first one. Runs great on the steam deck.

A true retro gem. This game takes me back to my childhood and super mario platformers which were my introduction to gaming. Initial levels are easy, difficulty ramps up steadily, which leaves players with enough time to adjust. Same goes for introduction of new npcs, with a steady trickle of enemies coming your way as you progress through the game, as well as new game mechanics, traps and snares. It is all fairly easy to grasp, but there are hints shown each time a new element is introduced. This adventure will take the intrepid goblin across a wide variety of environments, ranging from dark underground tunnels to snowy mountains, sandy beaches and forests. Be prepared for a roller coaster of action, thrills and at times challenging gameplay. The game plays smoothly, without any bugs or glitches that I could notice. It has a retro style and looks, but also modern bells and whistles, i.e. upgrades and achievements for players to pursue and even secret levels to top it all off. An overall cute and lovable little indie game, a great successor to the first GnC, with author's passion for his project clearly shining through. If you too crave a blast from the past with a modern twist, I can but recommend this labour of love.

(just note that there is an achievment for completing the game without upgrades too =) Here we go with the second installment (and improvement) from the first Goblins and Coins game: Goblin and Coins 2 :p In this charming platformer, you play as a Goblin (again ) trying to collect all the coins on each stage against pirates with boss fights!(obviously, duh!). It's a precision platformer, and although the graphics might not feature the latest "animatic" style, the gameplay is superior to many others in terms of responsiveness. The game offers replay value since you can't access all the coins until you acquire certain upgrades. This means you'll need to revisit levels to collect everything. This is quite an improvement from the original which was charming but had several elements which made it a rather conditional recommendation. While it won't convince anyone who's not already a platformer fan to get into the genre, it is rather well built. While there's a live system that does have you frequently quitting to menu instead of risking a death, it's not a true game over so it's up to you as a player to play as you consider best. Levels are simple enough with occasional key hunts, but they are moderately memorable in layout and design. While the game is linear, there are incentives to replay, especially with some of the unlockable upgrades which add a minor Metroidvania flavour while also making things easier. My only complaint so far is that when going to full coin runs, the game expects you to find all the coins in the stage at once (instead of remembering which coins you've picked before). This is easy enough in most stages, but on some of the larger ones with plenty of branching paths the search can get exhausting. Looking forward to the standalone expansion.
