Pog! Pog! PogoGirl
This is an excellent adventure game with a retro feel!It has a great balance of puzzle-solving, and difficulty!Plus the music and visuals are delightful!I highly recommend JUMPING on this game ASAP!
Cute fun game with great music
Great pogostick mechanics as you are constantly bouncing from platform to platform. Careful planning while jumping on moving platforms, as it can be quite tricky. I'm thouroughly enjoying the music tracks composed for the stages as they are melodic and fun to listen to. Great game mechanics and level design, with a throwback to retro-style 90s. style throw
Have to say, I'm usually not a big fan of gimmicky platformers - but Go! Go! Pogogirl does it right. Something about the rhythmic jumping and the wonderful handling (SO SATISFYING to chain twirls and jumps over a gap) really does it for me. Mildly addicting, and the level design is also great! Definitely worth $5.
A.R: Review on GoGo Pogo Girl. It was a really good game for what it is but sadly, i have to say it was not one of my most enjoyed games. The achivement colleting was very fun and the game play was good but the red gems were so annoying to get. Somethimes i think to my self who in there right mind would ever think to even look there just, them being inside of a wall. The season changing was cool and the ice as to not bore you with the background, but that ending was just alright but i think they were trying to make it more simple as good way to end thing's with getting the cool pogo. But with those cheeky red gems i will give it a soild 5.9/10 just was not really my thing i think
Easy to pick up and hard to master. This is how platformers should be. The regular levels seasons are really good in the difficulty curve, it starts out easy and as the game progresses it gets gradually more difficult. This is a great thing. If you like a challenge, then you can go to find all the gems and hidden gems in the level, or maybe you finish the level without dying. Little tip here, if you managed to get one or some of these three possible tasks, then you keep it, no matter how you play the level at your next time. Which means you can take your time and die as often as you want, but collect all that you can collect and then you do a second run, where you don't collect all the things and just concentrate on surviving. The puzzle Platformer {Speer DX] is a great pick as well, so i can recommend to go for the package of both games.
You know how awful it is when a game doesn't let you jump? This game doesn't have that problem. This game aggressively avoids having that problem. The art is cute. The music is nice. The sound effects are good. The slam-and-bounce-back-up mechanism feels really satisfying. While the art style is retro 90s, the gameplay is a lot more polite than games from the 90s used to be. There's no dialogue in this, slightly less violence than a Super Mario Bros game, and everything here is entirely child-safe. This game's author has obviously studied and applied game design theory quite methodically. This game does all the important stuff around its mechanics correctly, like always introducing new mechanics in non-threatening situation first, and adding them at a steady pace over the course of the game.
This is a fun 2-D platformer with a twist... or I should probably say--a bounce. Its very well made, and has a lot of replayability in returning to levels to earn all 3 medals for each level (1 for collecting 100 common coins, 1 for collecting 3 uncommon, or hidden, gems, and 1 for not dying). The difficulty curve was fair, the achievements were fun to earn, but that last Masters level, OMG... I did not earn a single medal, common coins and hidden gems remain elusive! I give up! But--I look forward to future releases from the developer. Recommended.
I cannot support this developer, because he obviously got people to write fake positive reviews for this game (seriously, go read them all and tell me if something does't seem off). If you can ignore the fake reviews, then this dev's games are decent value proposition considering how many levels you get per game (125, 100, 60 and 25 levels respectively). Except for perhaps this one, which I consider the weakest of the 4, because I find the movement & gem-collecting tedious and unrewarding. I might still re-purchase these games in the future, however, because I liked their gameplay polish & amount of content.
