What a cash grab. The original has a nasty bug, where you input your name and exchange rate, but you can copy and paste it. Also, achievement only works in the last DLC 2015: The bug is gone. Has better art. The girls are animated. Also, some new scenes 2016: Achievements and better everything, but you need to own 2015 for this work. It is a sweet VN that you need to buy the collection to enjoy to the fullest...
Living vicariously through a video game is actually possible
Go! Go! Nippon! ~My First Trip to Japan~ is a lighthearted visual novel that blends sightseeing, cultural introduction, and gentle romance into a single, easygoing experience. Developed by OVERDRIVE and published by MangaGamer, it places you in the role of a young traveler fulfilling a long-held dream: visiting Japan for the first time. After years of online friendship, you finally meet the two people who offered to host you during your stay—only to discover they are not foreign travelers like you assumed, but a pair of Japanese sisters named Makoto and Akira. From the moment you arrive, the story establishes a warm, welcoming tone, framing your trip as both a personal adventure and a quiet exploration of the sisters’ lives. Rather than dramatic conflict, the narrative focuses on the excitement and curiosity of experiencing a new country for the first time. The structure of the game unfolds like a guided tour, taking you through well-known landmarks and everyday locations that tourists frequently seek out. You visit temples, bustling shopping districts, major transit hubs, and even historic sites, with each destination accompanied by contextual explanations from your hosts. These descriptions, delivered through dialogue rather than dry exposition, give the game an almost educational quality. It introduces concepts ranging from basic etiquette to regional differences, all while anchoring them within your growing relationship with the sisters. For players who have never been to Japan, the game offers a friendly, simplified look at the country’s culture and geography. For those who have visited, it offers a nostalgic return to familiar sights translated into anime-style backgrounds. Gameplay remains minimal by design, with most of your interaction stemming from choosing which attractions to visit. These decisions determine which sister accompanies you on a given day and subtly influence the direction of the story. The branching paths are intentionally light—there are no complex puzzles, no time management systems, and no fail states. Instead, your choices gently nudge you toward either Makoto’s or Akira’s route, each offering slightly different perspectives and character moments. Makoto’s warm, thoughtful nature and Akira’s more aloof, tsundere personality form the emotional heart of the game. As you spend time with each of them, their distinct charm and vulnerabilities come forward, giving the narrative its subtle romantic undertones without turning it into a full dating sim. The art direction balances stylized character portraits with semi-realistic backgrounds derived from photographs. This hybrid style gives the game a unique visual identity: the sisters and other characters appear vibrant and expressive, while the environments are crisp, grounded, and deliberately reminiscent of real places. It helps reinforce the game’s travel-focused premise, emphasizing the idea that you are truly touring Japan’s streets, temples, and cityscapes. The soundtrack supports this ambience with gentle melodies that evoke movement, exploration, and quiet emotional beats. Although the production values are modest, the tone and presentation are cohesive, maintaining a consistent atmosphere throughout the experience. While charming, the game is not without its limitations. The narrative is brief, often feeling more like a curated travel brochure than a fully developed story. The player protagonist remains a blank slate, leaving most of the emotional weight to Makoto and Akira. The writing is friendly and approachable but rarely ventures beyond light slice-of-life dialogue. Because choices are limited and the routes are short, replay value depends largely on whether you wish to see both sisters’ endings. Players hoping for deeper character arcs, dramatic tension, or significant narrative twists may feel the experience is too shallow. Its simplicity is a deliberate design choice, but it may not satisfy those accustomed to more expansive visual novels. Despite these shortcomings, Go! Go! Nippon! succeeds at what it sets out to be: a warm, accessible, and affectionate introduction to Japan framed through the eyes of a first-time visitor. It captures the excitement of discovering a new culture, the awkwardness of navigating unfamiliar customs, and the sweetness of forming connections along the way. Its gentle tone, approachable writing, and inviting atmosphere make it ideal for visual novel newcomers, travelers dreaming of Japan, or players seeking an uncomplicated, feel-good story. As long as expectations are aligned with its modest scope, the game offers a pleasant and surprisingly endearing virtual vacation. Rating: 8/10

I really did Go! Go ! Nippon! ~My First Trip to Japan~. It's actually pretty informational Also why did they become vtubers for like a week and then get copyrighted what was with that
The game offers a good balance between challenge and relaxation. I enjoyed every hour spent playing it.
要是熟悉流程我一路CTRL能1.9小时推完全成就,还能退款
fantastic for anyone who wants to learn Japanese with decently authentic material while also learning more about the more down-to-earth themes surrounding Japan. There's lots of helpful info to be found here for anyone wanting to have a vacation in Japan, especially for the greater Tokyo area. The fact that you can display two separate subtitle languages at once is fantastic and a great boon to any learner.
