I have to say this is the most visually pleasing and fun experience I have played on the Vive. Its subtle and still just a preview but this has shown me better than any other VR experience the full potential of immersion into the VR world. Its beautiful. I laughed, I smiled and my jaw dropped as I interacted with the characters. I'm really looking forward to where this game/experience will lead.
If you ever wondered what it feels like to be dropped in a fairy world, this is it ! Please, please, we need the full game !

When I first downloaded this game/experience for VR I did not know what to expect. I am so glad that I did, even though it is short, this shows you the type of things you can do with VR. Shooting games are great, but the interaction with the environment and creatures is the reason I purchased my VR headsets. This preview is really nicely done. Cannot wait to try the final procuct. I hope they continue doing what has already been done. Definitely look forward to future titles from these folks.
Another weVR "experience" that is less of a game and more of a jaw dropping reality to relax in. Interaction is minimal in this one, but the attention to detail, the immersion, and the subtle interaction of the player all create an experience you'll want to talk about with your friends. Oh, and it's free.
Adorable. Gnomes and Goblins manages to both have the best interaction and the highest visual quality I've seen so far in VR. This will be my go-to experience for friends who try out VR for the first time. If they can manage to make something close to a full game of this, we might actually have the VR killer app everyone is looking for. As it's only a (free) preview, it's rather short. Looking forward to the full experience!
There is nothing to dislike! This is the most amazing, addictive, adorable and endearing experience I've had so far in VR. Its already my new go-to favorite. The Blu was incredible & nearly just as addictive. But there hasn't been any updates to take it further. PLEASE, PLEASE... I am begging for Gnomes & Goblins to be finished and not stay just a pretty dam adorable demo. If the finished product is anything like the demo, I'd certainly pay top dollar for it. Its worth it for the most charming experience!
After a quick recalibration of my playspace this worked like a charm. Gnomes & Goblins is a great, albeit short experience. The visuals are top notch for a VR title with a cozy atmosphere and cute design. The world responds to your actions and makes them meaningful in a way that can only be done in VR. Seems the developers really know what they are doing and have an understanding of what makes the medium special. Can't wait for more!
Played On: HTC Vive
Gnomes & Goblins is one of those games that's hard to explain without spoiling it, especially since this preview is all of 5-7 minutes long; but man, oh man, what a 5 minutes it is. Although it states that you need a required play area of 2.7mx2.1m, I was able to play it perfectly fine in my 2mx2m space. Since the required area is quite large, and most people do not have that much of a room-scale area, hopefully the developer will listen to myself and countless others who are hoping for some sort of locomotion option in the full release. The small tech demo itself is absolutely gorgeous, and the little creature that you find to interact with is cute, and whimsical in its own way. You're only able to interact with this little gnome a handful of times before he delivers you a bell, which you can ring to get transported to different locations that will presumably appear on a grander scale in the full release. This preview of Gnomes & Goblins isn't so much about what you're able to do within it, but the endless possibilities that surround it and future VR releases. These types of fantasy lands are what VR needs more of, and hopefully we'll see that in the not-so-distant future. Played on Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers on Windows 10. Absolutely no problems whatsoever, didnt' have to mess with compatability or configure any settings. Launched straight from Steam VR. This is a very beautiful VR world. Perhaps one of the most fantastic and immersive atmospheres to date. There just isn't much to do and it's very short, approximately 10 minutes short (and that's with having no idea what you're supposed to do). So yeah, don't read any spoilers or walkthroughs or it'll make it a 2 minute quicky experience
and nobody likes that
For the free price, I definitely recommend this preview to download. It is simply magical. Just know that it's a one time experience kind of thing and will leave you wondering why this full game doesn't exist.
3 years, Still nothing, i keep hoping this will become a full game.
