It's a bad version of Albion Online, although something is charming about it - maybe the old school vibes. There's a few issues here I'd like to call out: 1. There is almost no content, you'll blast through it in 1 day unless you want to just spam grind mobs to level up all skills. 2. The map is tiny, like extremely small. This factors into number 3. 3. Because there's not much to do and the map is small, max level douchebags in full gear will camp the only PvP zone and will 1 shot you and take all of your stuff. They will camp there for hours on end all day and stop you from progressing. 4. Bugs - yes there's bugs and some questionable design decisions. Only the person who gets the last hit gets credit for quest kills (including people in your own party). The major annoyance here is to progress your main campaign and unlock some important skills you need to get the last hit on 2 mobs that only spawn ONCE A DAY. Good luck. 5. Resource nodes. There's like 2 resource nodes on the entire map and everyone wants them. Good luck getting armor crafted, you'll be running around naked or in leather for a while. 6. Tying into item 5, if you're a mage you WILL be naked for the majority of the game. If you wear Leather or Iron armor it reduces your magic to uselessness. Your only option is cloth armor and again, see item 5. Listen, this game has potential but it's just so far away from being anything worth money. I hope the developer continues to develop the game and create content.

it has pretty good game play, i am sure it will get better as more content is released for it. my biggest issue as of yet is high level players waiting at the entrances of pvp zone for new players to essentially instant kill when they enter, and the new players lose all of the items in there inventory. Given that players need to enter the area to kill mobs to complete early quests it can make for a lack of player retention among new player.
Review as of the game in its Oct 2024 release state, apparently anything prior to this was a different variation of the game and it was taken down for awhile to redesign. There will be a bit of positive reviews around the time this is submitted because there was an announcement to host a giveaway and anyone leaving a favorable review would win chance at some limited unique ingame item. The game is a neat concept and its good for I'd guess 20 hours of core game play and that's being generous. As far as getting to any actual content goes, you're gated by the endless grind. You will kill thousands of the same 10 mobs for a chance at a blueprint to craft any gear, which you'll then move on to the next mobs and continue the cycle. For example there were high level players in the starting zones still grinding the same chickens you kill from the tutorial because they were trying to farm blueprints. You can explore the entire surface map in about 15 minutes on a mount, but to be fair there are some caves and a dungeon that aren't accounted in that time. A weird concept for me is that all gathering nodes give the same loot type, the type of loot you get from the nodes is only differentiated by your skill level. This probably isn't a problem but just an odd take knowing there is several different tree models in game but they all give the same wood but again varies on your specific skill level for different wood types received. The real issue I have about this game is that the servers are regularly going down or having major problems. Every day player characters cannot login to the servers or get stuck in a permanent "character is already logged in" despite not being able to login for multiple days and even after several server reboot later. It's challenging to get a hold of the dev and when they are around they are simply bombarded by either support requests or players asking non stop random questions and then just disappears. To be clear here, I've never seen more than roughly 20 concurrent players in game at the same time. This is purely a visual estimate but the world is pretty small and you recognize the names. If the game were to grow and more people join I can only imagine this problem would be more drastic. When you discover a problem in game, other players also will confirm the problem you are describing the dev also will say things like "it works fine for me" and simply ignore your report or not even acknowledge the problem. A major incident I observed was that one guild lost their entire bank vault multiple times and they are reasonably trying to explain the problem and seem to be getting no acknowledgment about the issue at all. The game might be worth my time again when all the beta bugs are addressed and the server stability is improved but for now it just seems more frustrating than fun. This is just my opinion on the game, this certainly does not reflect how many of the other players feel. Some are very passionate and love the game so if the game ads resonate with you, give it a try! But for me if I was able to refund the game, I would.
maps too small, if you dont want to compete with max level players for basic resources / complete ur quests, dont bother, all the max level players hang around the noob area stifling any new player growth, the game clearly needs more end game content or more ways for higher levels to farm because it quickly gets boring trying to compete with max level players for basic resources, they will out damage you easily and out pace you with their mount making anything a low level player wants to do pointless because you will just be outclassed by the higher level players camping the tutorial zone, also maybe this is wrong but steam charts shows this game peaking at 30 players, so if the map is too small to sustain 30 players its kinda worrying
Servers are Offline, and the EXE is missing from the install. Launch manually from the install location, but it looks like it was abandoned. Too bad i cant get my money back :(
The game is in Early Access, as it should because it is not polished and has alot more content that needs to be added. That being said - this game has ALOT of promise! Even with the relatively low amount of content, I've stilled put in 12 hrs. I have only done PVE and enjoyed it this far. There are bugs, and missing content (tied to questing), and missing methods to actually craft Tier 2 or Tier 3 gear. For example the tier 2 wood is present in the game, but the tier 2 harvesting tools does not exist, so you cannot obtain tier 2 wood to actually craft the recipes that drop from mobs. Looking forward to continued growth in this game. Definitely keep an eye on this game.
Promising Game that needs a lot of work
Obviously this is early access... Yet In all honestly It feels like playing the alpha or even pre alpha of a game. It has a lot of promise, yet no real substance yet. I will hold onto this game and keep my eye on development for the future but until then I am putting it down. And yes the 80 something minutes I've played are more than enough time to make that judgment. The Pros: - Simple but effective art style - Interesting take on a PVP MMO - Player Driven economy with everything being crafted - Simple but fun combat - Community Focus The Cons: - Gathering/Crafting is a mess... Too little metals and cloth in game compared to wood and leather. This leads to players being shoehorned into certain play styles (Magic, leather armor, bows) and makes other playstyles (Heavy armor and melee) very expensive to utilize as when you die to players you drop everything you have... You would much rather lose a wooden staff that took you 3 seconds to craft rather than an iron sword that took an hour to get the mats for. - Economy is non existent... Since Gathering/Crafting is a mess then the economy is stagnant too. No need to buy things from players if I can stack 300 wood and just make my own 50x fire staffs since I know everyone else is doing the same. Also the Auction house is not implemented and players rarely buy/sell... - Entry points to areas makes PVP suck... It doesn't take long to get into a pvp zone. In fact, I walked out of the starter area and immediately got ice blasted then fire blasted by two mage dudes in a party... People simply camp entry points to areas. and don't have to do much other than that to gank people. You can just camp an entry/exit zone and drink a cup of coffee waiting for a victim to come along... I suggest getting rid of or making the entry/exit points wider or more various to get rid of this cheesy playstyle. I feel really discouraged to try and carry anything of value through a pvp zone since I'm basically funelled to the same entry/exit as everyone else and so I feel like i'm playing a highway bandit simulator rather than a PVP MMO... They should draw inspiration from albion online for instance on how to properly create a full pvp zone the right way. - Lack of advanced video/graphics/keybindings/settings ... They really couldn't be bothered to allow you to change much besides your volume and resolution. Yeah the game can run on a potato but I like to have options in my gameplay that this game simply doesn't give you.. It's 2022 let me enable/disable anything and everything I want to come on..
Don't Buy! The game isn't ready. There's only one developer, and whenever he tries to fix something, he ends up breaking something else. These issues stay unresolved until he has time to address them because the game isn't his primary job. For example, he tried to fix the water mechanics, and now we can't travel to islands—who knows when this will be fixed. If you start playing, you'll probably enjoy it at first, but soon you'll be hoping for updates that never come to fix basic issues, and you'll end up frustrated. The server is down almost every day, and you can't store the items you gather. This game relies heavily on crafting and collecting materials, yet there's no way to store them properly. If you buy it, you'll just find yourself waiting endlessly for updates to make the game playable. In its current state, it’s not worth it.
Played for 15 hours so far. Game is very reminiscent of old school mmorpgs, perfect for veterans used to the old school grind play style. Perhaps because it's a paid MMO I've not met anyone who is toxic and the other players have been generally very helpful with answering questions to the game. Shout out to ARG for crafting me a weapon when I thought I lost my starter weapon. (I was dumb, didn't notice I had accidentally switched my loadout.) The game can be confusing for beginners just hopping in, not having a wiki page and all, but i guess part of the charm is picking up the game and learning off the players who are already established. I would say some of the mechanics needs some fine tuning and tons of bugs need fixing, but being a paid game the majority of the players seem very patient and supportive of the Dev. He responds frequently on the discord and seems very reliable so far. Don't like combat? No problem, because all you skillers out there can actually level your character off just farming materials which was what i chose to do at the start while getting to know the game. Don't need to perfect and worry too much about your stats or classes at the start because you can always switch the weapon types/classes you want to play and reset your stats with some gold. You can switch between 2 loadouts in the middle of combat, and although i'm not too deep into the game yet, i can only imagine how skill based PVP would be. Blueprints for items are generally dropped off mobs it seems, but skillers can choose to pick up BP's off the auction house and start industrializing. They say the early bird gets the worm, but coming this late into the game still feels more like an advantage especially when the economy is being floated by the veterans. They pay really well for materials they need and toss pretty decent gear for cheap on the auction houses. Notable skills I've yet to try: Pet taming- You can purchase pets off the auction house or tame your own pets ( you tame better pets by lvling the tamer skill ) Fishing Cooking Alchemy The weapon classes are pretty diverse as well: They seem to do different damage types like Bludgeoning, Piercing and Slash but I'm not sure what's the difference or if they do different damages to different mob types, I'll have to see. On top of that, additional weapon specific skills can be farmed or bought from the auction house. This is nice because it allows the dev's to introduce new skills and spells at a later date. So far it seems each loadout is allowed to use 3 spells, but i'm not sure if there is more than 3 spells for each weapon class currently. Gameplay can be clunky at times, but it might be because I'm playing from Asia to an EU server. Still managing well on 200+ Ping so it shouldn't be much of an issue for Asian players as well. Hopefully we get region dedicated servers down the line, but so far I'm happy with the game and my purchase ^^
Has potential, but has a lot of bugs. Also if you want to be a battle mage you cant even use any spells you get unless you want to spend your gold on sulfur. you can mine sulfur ore, but to craft sulfur you need to get a sulfur blue print in a drop which seems nearly impossible, your going to be level cap and never once be able to access your spells, because blue print are only rarely dropped by enemies or traded with players. Its a small community which is cool, but some players take advantage of you still. Its a shill basically right now in its current state not worth being anything but free currently.
