Thanks for the game! I enjoyed playing, though I had some bugs after a while. First bug was that tasks required some buildings (like Medium Dwelling L2) that I already had on my map. The second bug was that after a while, there were Medium Dwelling L2 buildings on anywhere I put my mouse on the map. In a minute, the whole map was the same building, on roads, on other buildings. During this play, the task didnt finish een tho the time is out. Also game was super slow. Hope these are able to be fixed!
Glory of Rome is a very complete city-building game. As a player, you have to build and manage an extremely interconnected web of supply and demand of resources and citizens. On top of that, the people physically transport the resources to a business, market, storage or their homes, adding a new dynamic to it all. I’m having a lot of fun planning my Roman cities! If you’re into city-building games, you definitely want to try Glory of Rome.
Updated Review for Full Release: A pleasant and relaxing sim with cool graphics and solid gameplay. Throughout early access the developer has been extremely responsive to suggestions and feedback. Since getting the game when it was in early access, new scenarios have been released and the future roadmap shows continued updates well into 2022. The added / fleshed out steam achievements and leader board are a nice addition. Not often you see games with a steam leaderboard which is quite nice. Never had a problem with the saving / unlock system. Have been able to finish most scenarios in a single sitting which works quite nicely. Can then continue from where I've left off in the next session.
The poor man's Anno.
I didn't play long but this is more like a puzzle game than something like Banished or a city builder with a dynamic economy and randomized events. Let me explain, the couple of missions I played were about producing enough resources by a specific time point, and it was like 15 minutes long. There's plenty of structures and functions available which tells me it gets more diverse as time goes on, which isn't a bad thing. I didn't bother playing beyond the first few missions but maybe I'll play it when again if I get an itch for a puzzle game. I really liked the art style and ambience. edit: I'll definitely be booting up this game again when it's farther along in development, even though i haven't explored all of it's features yet.
Great little city builder. Awesome art style and intricate game play mechanics. Looks simple from the outside but when you really dive into it, a very clever interconnected arrange of mechanics is at play. Would recommend. Would be great as a portable console port. eg Switch
A great game, Fun to play with a clear and clean aesthetic. Something that I really like :) Give it a try you won't regret it.
Really enjoying this neat Roman Empire simulator. Has all the characteristics of a good game and I've found myself lost in it for hours. I don't often leave reviews but I'm giving this a solid 9.5/10 only as it's brand new but I'm looking forward to giving it an honest 10 as more patches are rolled out to further streamline gameplay. I'm very pleased with my purchase and am glad I came across this title.
The game feels clunky... I miss information on how big the area of influence of a building is - IF there even is one - and similar stuff. Building menu is not intuitive - I always have to search for everything... generally it feels like more work than fun. Not for me.
OMG back to the good old days. I feel like fifty years old again. This game takes me back,as you can already tell, but boy has it been brought up too date without ruining that old gamers delight. Easy to play however not all that easy to win. Love it. I just jumped straight in full of confidence and the game soon said ahh ahh not quite like the old days old timer this game aint so simple. Love it and I highly urge you to consider buying this game. Good fun. with plenty of "oh ♥♥♥♥ moments"
