Not my cup of tea. Although the visuals and music were fine the gameplay was crazy and the platforms slippery. 4/10 Cause Gimmick is cute and I wanted to like it more. Very thankful for the save and rewind features.

I did not realize that this game was so old! It certainly is showing it's age. It's a fun platformer and a super cool little look at history. I can't believe I stumbled across this series randomly on Steam and never once heard anything about it. Never even saw a stray video essay about it on YouTube. Truly a hidden gem. The reason I wouldn't recommend this game is because while it's a cool little look into the past, I could've gotten out of playing this what I did by watching a short YouTube video on it and going, "Oh, yeah, not for me, I'll just get the second one." Which I did do and the second one is great! I'm currently playing through it on my Retroid Pocket 5 with GameNative and it runs so well and feels so good on a small handheld like the RP5. Highly recommend skipping this game and grabbing it's sequel instead, bonus if you have a handheld to play it on!

Obscure Japanese exclusive from long ago, brutally hard, outstanding music. All the elements are here in this faithful PC port. Gimmick is a real classic. If you've beaten this one you have legit gamer cred.

Extremamente difícil, jogabilidade mediana pra menos, os botões de pulo e ataque se manter apertados, mesmo que por periodo curto executa automaticamente, variando a altura do pulo e dificultando o uso do ataque, o personagem deslisa um pouco, antes de parar, algo comum, mas nesse jogo a precisão é muito exigida, isso aumenta mais a dificuldade, e pra finalizar as conquistas estão bugadas, não obtive nenhuma e fiz final, definitivamente não recomendo mesmo

ファミコン世代経験者です。現代でのGimmick!復刻、実に熱いですね。 現在で言う精密プラットフォーム的な高難易度、この部分については「意図的に」そのような造りにしている趣旨ですので、評価対象からは外させていただいてます。 マリオみたいな緩いアクション経験のみだと、クリア出来ない程難しく感じるかもしれません。その点は注意です。 興味本位やどうしてもこのゲームに拘る理由でもない限り、アクション初心者が手を出すと痛い目見るかもしれません。 Gimmick!はAC向けにグラフィックなどを一新した「EXACT☆MIX」なるバージョンがありまして、Special Editionとしての発売でしたら、このEXACT☆MIXへのグラフィック切り替え機能もあれば良かったなと思いました。 ゲーム内容だけで言えば本当にただのファミコン移植のみで、現代でGimmick!を復刻させました！と。それ以上でも以下でもありません。 おまけ程度に当時のゲームパッケージやソフト、説明書は見れますが設定資料やサントラなどの類は無いです。 サントラは別売りですが、Special Editionであれば是非ゲーム内に同梱してほしかったところ。 ファミコングラフィック、レトロでいいですねー。 ただ現代のディスプレイで見ますと、拡大故にドットの粗さが目立ってしまう。 ファミコンのような環境を再現出来るような、ドットに対するフィルター機能みたいなのがあるとよかったです。 売りにしてますセーブ・ロード/巻き戻し機能ですが、これが使えるのはノーマルモードのみ。 ノーマルモードでは実績が解除されないんです。 実績集めをしたい場合はファミコンと同条件下のシリアスモードでないと解除出来ないので、結局売りにしている機能が使えず恩恵がほとんど無いです。 一応ノーマルモードに関してはそのような機能が使えますので、こういう機能を駆使してでも一通り完走したい人向けな印象。 セーブスロットも3つしかなく、ステージセレクト機能もないので、ゲームの練習用途としては中途半端。 シリアスモード想定で通しの練習しか出来ず、ピンポイントでやりたい部分の練習を繰り返すには不向きです。 仮に練習した所で星ジャンプだの、ステージ4は隠しエリア分岐部分で落ちたらトゥルーエンドは一発アウトだの、高難易度過ぎてシリアスモードで実際に活かせるかは怪しい所です。 私の勝手なイメージですが、このゲームはスピードランでクリア出来る程の熟練者か、シリアスモードの通しクリアが厳しくノーマルモードでやっとクリア出来る程のゲーマーか、二極化しやすいのかなと思いました。 最初からクリア出来る腕前の人ならばシリアスモードかスピードランの二択、結局はクリア出来ない人がノーマルモードでセーブ・ロード/巻き戻し機能を必要とするのではないでしょうか。 しかしノーマルモードをずっとやっていた所で実績解除は出来ませんし、あくまで通しクリアの繰り返しにしかなりません。 果たしてノーマルモードを通して本当にシリアスモードをトゥルー完走出来る程力が着く、と言う人がどれ程の割合居る事でしょうか？ せめてライフアップやステージセレクト、ステージパートに分かれての開始など、もうちょっとノーマルモードの機能面が充実していれば練習用途として機能したのではないでしょうか。 上記で書いたような不満などもありますが、決してゲーム内容が悪いとは思えません。 私はGimmick!と言う作品が好きなので、購入に向いている層は限られてしまうかもしれませんが評価自体は「オススメ」にしたいです。 難しすぎてお金が無駄になっても後悔しない、あるいはアクションにある程度自信がある、そのような層は購入しても良いのでは。

Tiene todo lo que un buen juego de NES debe tener. Directo, desafiante, buena música ymecánicas no tan sencillas ni simples.

While the emulation can have it's issues. Mostly w inputs. ( I think turning off V-sync helps) It's still one of the best if not THE best NES game you can play. I love this game to bits.

It's the NES/Famicom Platformer Gimmick!. It was never released in English, only in Japan and parts of Scandinavia. If you want a legal way to play this old game, this is it. My only gripe is that while they include sans of the original Japanese and Scandinavian manuals, it would've been nice to create an English version of a manual, otherwise you might end up spending more than a few minutes trying to figure out how to play
