Not sure what all the negative reviews are for... this game was quite fun. Is it a triple AAA game? no. but for only about 10$ i got some fun out of it with a friend. I agree the gameplay is quite simple, but its fun playing together navigating the the different levels. People want to pay 10$ and recieve 80$ content is quite laughable. Id def recommend.

Astrumis – Survive Together, developed and published by Tyci, is a cooperative sci-fi horror game built around a single, defining idea: two players sharing one survival experience from completely different perspectives. Instead of placing both players in the same role, the game divides responsibility between a vulnerable explorer inside a derelict spaceship and a remote operator guiding them from a control interface. This asymmetrical structure shapes every aspect of the experience, turning communication into the most important tool players have. The core gameplay loop revolves around this dependency. The player inside the ship navigates dark corridors, interacts with objects, and attempts to complete objectives with only partial awareness of their surroundings. Meanwhile, the second player monitors cameras, maps, and system feeds, providing directions, warnings, and critical information. Neither role is fully effective on its own. The explorer lacks visibility and context, while mission control cannot physically intervene. This imbalance creates a constant reliance on coordination, where success depends on how clearly and quickly both players can exchange information. The horror element emerges naturally from this design. The presence of a lurking, often unseen threat transforms even simple tasks into tense encounters. The explorer is forced to move forward with limited knowledge, trusting instructions that may arrive too late or be misinterpreted under pressure. At the same time, the operator experiences a different kind of tension—watching danger unfold without being able to act directly. This dynamic creates a shared sense of vulnerability, where mistakes feel immediate and consequences are rarely forgiving. Progression is structured around a series of cooperative challenges that blend puzzle-solving with survival. Objectives typically require input from both players, reinforcing the idea that neither perspective is complete on its own. The puzzles themselves are not overly complex, but they gain difficulty through context—solving them while managing fear, limited information, and time pressure makes them far more engaging than they might otherwise be. This balance between simplicity and tension keeps the experience accessible while still maintaining a sense of urgency. Visually, the game adopts a familiar sci-fi setting, with industrial interiors, dim lighting, and confined spaces that emphasize isolation. While the environments are not particularly groundbreaking, they are effective in supporting the gameplay. The design prioritizes readability and atmosphere, ensuring that players can navigate the space while still feeling constrained by it. Sound design plays a crucial role as well, with ambient noise and subtle audio cues heightening the sense of unease, particularly for the player inside the ship. Despite its strong central concept, the game’s scope is relatively limited. The experience is designed for short, focused sessions, and while the asymmetrical gameplay remains engaging, it does not evolve significantly over time. Once players become familiar with the mechanics, some of the initial tension begins to fade. Replayability depends largely on the unpredictability of each session and the dynamics between players, rather than on a wide variety of content or progression systems. Another key limitation is its strict reliance on cooperative play. The game is not built for solo experiences, and its mechanics lose meaning without a second player. This makes it highly dependent on having a partner who is willing to engage with its communication-driven design. When that requirement is met, the game can feel unique and engaging. Without it, the experience simply does not function as intended. Even with these constraints, Astrumis – Survive Together stands out for how effectively it commits to its core idea. It does not attempt to offer a broad or feature-heavy experience; instead, it focuses on delivering a specific type of interaction built around trust, coordination, and shared tension. When everything aligns—clear communication, rising pressure, and well-timed reactions—it creates moments that feel genuinely memorable. Ultimately, Astrumis – Survive Together is a focused co-op horror experiment that succeeds through its originality rather than its scale. It offers a distinctive take on multiplayer horror, emphasizing teamwork over individual skill and communication over mechanics. While its limited content and strict co-op requirement may reduce its long-term appeal, it delivers a compelling experience for players willing to engage with its design. Rating: 7/10
Feels like a mobile game at best. Yeah, the gameplay sounds cool, but it falls flat. We were bored out of our mind. I bought it on sale, and still wouldn't recommend it. I legit don't even understand all the positive reviews. Among us has better activities to do than the camera person does in this game....and in Among us, I feel pressure as I do them unlike in this game...and then as the runner, the AI is horrible. You are never in danger unless you have zero patience.
