Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Initially when I tried the demo of GR2 before the game released, I strongly disliked the changes to the movement because it felt slow compared to GR1. Which is why I didn't buy this game on release despite GR1 being one of my favorites. Now that a few years passed and not having the muscle memory and the exact nuance of how GR1 plays, I gotta say playing this felt amazing! All the aspects that were refined and the new ideas they added fit well into and give you a fresh gameplay experience every few levels. While not as purely focused on the original gameplay loop (still mostly is), I think the new ideas never overstay their welcome and add just the right amount of variety. I applaud the devs for innovating and expanding the gameplay while still staying faithful to the addicting gameplay loop of the original. While this shouldn't be the type of game you buy for the story, the world they built up in GR1 and expanded here is plenty interesting. The story is intriguing and does the job of carrying you 'til the very end, however they didn't manage to write a compelling main villain and have no twists or revelations in the finale which makes it very flat and anticlimactic. One aspect that was a straight up downgrade for me is the soundtrack. GR1 had such a unique cyberpunk sound that it really pulled you into the world, in this one I can't remember more than maybe 2 songs that were memorable or evoked GR1. With all that said I'm really looking forward to GR3 if it ever gets made.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

spoko
If I had to guess at the development of the game, I'd say they had a team of very good developers putting out a stylish and well-loved product that they believe in. There are some shortfalls, let's start with the performance. There was clearly a team of very good coders that developed this game, but it feels like it's poorly optimized in places and would have benefitted from someone overseeing the optimization rather than having the whole team bear the responsibility of that. Nothing crazy, it stutters during big effect moments but just for a frame or two. Not enough to say anything bad about, just slightly jarring. I feel like this approach of talented people with passion being asked to perhaps wear too many hats in places that require a full-time expert on hand is a pattern you can see in many aspects of the game. The writing is full of personality and character, but feels cliche in some places, anachronistic to the setting and character in others, and outright cringe in a few places. The voice acting is much the same: the cast are putting their absolute best into their performances and their work is amazing. However, conversations can feel disjointed and zig-zag between different inflections and intonations that, while amazingly performed, seem inappropriate and nearly manic. Sound effects and music, chef's kiss. I played on low volume but the music hits where it needs to and has style, same with the sound effects. Level design is sprawling and stylish, I was genuinely amazed at the scope of the environments. But telegraphing where the player should go next could stand for another major pass of polish. The HUD can be confusing and frustrating in areas, I'm thinking of a certain aerial section with a HUD overlay that seemed to be purely decorative despite referencing information that I would very much like to know. If it was functional, which it might've been, I couldn't tell where and when any information was being given. The controls can be unclear in some areas, and beat you over the head with endless tutorial prompts in others. For a fast-paced movement game with the potential for high precision, quick reflex gameplay, controls seem to lag behind and be unprepared for the speed at which players will be moving. At the same time you can find yourself clipping into geometry when you try to climb something that, while you technically can scale, you absolutely should not be. When you find quick shortcuts and tricks it feels very much like breaking the game rather than playing creatively. Now, admittedly, I am a monkey-brained idiot, and I will try to scale the incorrect terrain in every game I play. For example, I did this a lot in Doom Eternal. So, if you're the same flavor of gamer it may cause issues, but many may not notice it. Overall, the passion and style oozes from every frame of this game. You can feel the budget, the scale, the love poured into development by people who have a real drive for making good games. It gets to that 7/10 point where, while it's a good game and I would recommend it, I wouldn't do more than $30 USD. That's furthered by the campaign being 5-8 hours depending on how much 'splorin you do. Again, I like the game, I think it's good. However, it being a good game and wearing its ambitions as a game on its sleeve, it jumps into the new criticism tax-bracket where I can nit-pick a good product. And unfortunately, there's a lot to nitpick.
