Honestly, I enjoyed this game more than I initially thought I would! It definitely sparked my interest in this type of horror genre! The music, the setting and the story are really well executed! Paired with the interesting choice in art style has made this game stand out! There's even multiple endings depending on how much you've discovered as the detective! It really makes it worth replaying and using your previous knowledge to get the best ending! The story might be a little intense for some as it deals with traumatic experiences but I think it was well done and does a good job of tackling it with out crossing the line but that's subjective so others may have a different opinion. The horror aspect isn't too crazy, whilst there were a couple spooky moments the game was more eerie than scary HOWEVER I won't pretend, it did get me a few times! I'm definitely looking forward to being psychologically scarred in the next installment! P.S My playtime is wrong I actually have about 4hrs idk why it says 67mins
I'll give this a positive, because I can tell this developer has chops. The sanity meter is a fun concept, and with some fine-tuning, it could be a really enjoyable time. The problem is that it's just...not. Every enemy instakills you just by making contact with you, which erases the idea that you have a choice to avoid combat. If you don't kill everything in any given room, you will probably die. And if you die five times, you're locked out of the good ending, which is just one more layer of feeling bad for no reason. It's got some visual charm, a lot of the bugs have been cleared up, and the story is serviceable (though the main character could have been fleshed out a bit more). It's not a terrible time, it just really deserved a little more structural refinement. I'll say this much though, we don't get many anime survival horror games, so I'm certainly happy it exists. Support your local indies and give this one a buy!
A great blend of awesome art, eclectic music, and brain-tickling detective fun. Oh, with just the right amount of spice and jump scares too. The fun little nuggets of tongue in cheek humor sprinkled throughout is *chef's kiss, and shows a certain level of dedication the creator has (which is a lot). Looking forward to more from this dev!
This was much better than I thought it was going to be. Price might a weeee steep at 3 hours of gameplay, but the game overall was very fun. Stationary cameras, tank controls, semi-perma death... tons of nostalgia. Story was pretty good too. Nothing crazy but it felt like a well thought out executed story telling.
Really enjoyed this. Some frustrating one hit kills but overall really enjoyed it - the vibes, art, and great quality of life in the game made it the frustration a small concern. One big content warning about this game:
the story isn't really in your face but the game is about human trafficking and a pedophile so obviously have to decide if that is something you're willing to experience. Honestly, I wish the girl was at least legal - it's still messed up but pedophilia is really just not needed. Didn't really add anything to the game at all imo but instead will limit the audience that enjoys it.
Altamente recomendado. Hola Fran.
It's Epic! It manages to be both a loveletter to such classics as RE1 and Alone in the Dark (+ a pinch of Twin Peaks) yet at the same time it is so unique and fresh. Definitely recommend.
