About
Inspired by games such as: Ready or Not, Ground Branch, CoD: Modern Warfare and Insurgency: Sandstorm. GERONIMO is a highly realistic, tactical and immersive CQB shooter that has been built from the ground up for Virtual Reality. Play Solo, or with your friends and carry out your operations through our missions, some even inspired by real world raids.
Whether deploying solo or with a full 6-player squad, Geronimo brings unforgiving tactical shooter gameplay into VR, where careful movement, clear communication, and calculated teamwork are essential. Train with your team in dedicated practice environments, including shooting ranges with dynamic targets and customizable killhouses built for refining your tactics before the real mission begins.
In GERONIMO, your equipment is built around how you want to operate. Shape your operator’s look, choose your clothing and armor, then fine-tune your weapons and rig with a high level of control. Position pouches where they make sense, configure your vest for the role you’re playing, and set up each weapon platform with the attachments and layout that fit your style.
Every choice has a practical impact once you’re in VR. A heavier setup can slow you down and make long engagements more demanding. Poor optic placement can make target acquisition harder. A full-length rifle may give you reach in open spaces, but become awkward when clearing tight rooms. Your loadout is not just cosmetic — it defines how you move, fight, and survive.
Every weapon is built with a focus on physical interaction, mechanical detail, and believable handling in VR. Firearms are not treated as simple props — they are systems you manipulate by hand, with actions such as manual bolt locking, magazine changes, charging, and slide operation designed to feel deliberate and responsive.
A high level of animation and interaction work supports each weapon platform, from carefully authored hand poses to moving parts that behave as expected during operation. Slides cycle with accurate barrel movement, controls are placed and handled with intention, and small details are modeled so that using a weapon feels tactile rather than abstract. The result is a gunplay system where precision, familiarity, and muscle memory matter.
Sharpen your skills outside of live missions with dedicated IPSC-style courses and a range of killhouse options built for practice, speed, and friendly competition. Run timed shooting challenges to test accuracy under pressure, compare routes with teammates, and refine the fundamentals that matter most in VR: target acquisition, weapon handling, movement, and control.
Killhouses offer a more tactical way to train, with layouts suited for room clearing, angles, communication, and close-quarters decision-making. Whether you are warming up before an operation, drilling with your squad, or competing for the fastest clean run, Geronimo gives players flexible training spaces where improvement is measurable and rivalry stays friendly.

completely broken and unplayable game on this stage.
very very good as it is but i do need some of these things: 1. holster positioning in the vest editor 2. grenade launcher/attachment 3. disarming AI 4. more secondaries (especially a revolver and desert eagle) 5. more primaries 6. optimizations because there are a lot of lag spikes 7. vehicles
If you are a fan of tactical shooters and can stand a hyper early access game (which if you play a lot of VR you should be) it would recommend. If you aren't wanting to play something in the early stage of early access I would say give it a few months to year and them check back in.

Egyelőre (!) nem ajánlom. Borzasztóan clunky játék, de brutál jónak tűnő alapok. Valószínűleg refundolom, vagy várok még vele, de ha erre odafigyelnek, ebből tényleg minőségi tartalom lehet. Ingame max + VD godlike presettel 72 fps-t sem képes tartani a game a rigemen.
Quite rough in it's current state, terribly optimized, physics like moving through molasses, weapons that clip through the ground, enemies that stare you in the eye and wait for you to gun them down, poor hand alignment with no option to change offsets, weird sprinting movement that forces you to wiggle your hands in front of you. Most of this is expected for EA, I will consider purchasing this game again when some work has been done
I like this game and like the specific feature of holding two mags to tactical swap a non-empty mag. that's cool This is for the devs: I am thumbs downing this game because when going into the field maps, the game has traversal stutter every few feet. This leads to my death in combat. Home base has no stuttering. I know my rig can handle VR games and on other demanding games on high settings, so I don't believe it's on my end. If the stutter can be fixed, I am happy to change my rating.
Fantastic groundwork, it just needs a little more time in the oven
Geronimo enters Early Access with a remarkably strong framework. For its budget-friendly entry price, it's already an absolute blast to play. While it definitely suffers from some rough edges, the underlying potential shines through clearly.
The Good

Fluid & Punchy Gunplay: The shooting mechanics feel incredibly satisfying and responsive.
Immersive Physics: Weapon handling is top-notch. Minor touches, like physically flicking an empty magazine out of your rifle, really elevate the immersion.
Excellent Virtual Stock: The virtual stock implementation is fantastic, making long-range sniping feel seamless and natural.
Deep Customization: Solid depth in both character and weapon customization right out of the gate.
Great Presentation: The game boasts a highly atmospheric vibe paired with impressive visuals.
Versatile Playstyles: Highly entertaining whether you're playing lone-wolf solo or dropping in with a co-op squad.
As a player coming over from Tactical Assault VR (TAVR), Geronimo holds its ground as a fierce competitor. It successfully nails that same high-stakes, tense atmosphere but steps things up with superior graphics and, in many areas, more realistic weapon interactions. The only real caveat is that it is significantly more demanding on your PC hardware.
Areas for Improvement
Optimization & Performance: The game requires a beefy rig as it is, but Night Vision Goggles (NVGs) cause an unreasonable frame rate drop. I get that it's likely double-rendering the scene, but even on my RTX 4070, the performance takes a massive hit, even on smaller maps. Enemy AI: Easily the weakest link right now. Targets often stand around passively waiting to be picked off and don't feel dynamic at all. Since this is Early Access, I'm confident this will be overhauled over time. Door Physics & Interactions: My biggest pet peeve. Interacting with doors is incredibly frustrating right now. They constantly get stuck, barely budge, clip through walls, or just glitch out entirely. We desperately need proper breaching mechanics, the ability to physically push them open with our weapons, or a vastly improved interaction system. Grenade Consistency: Frag and flashbang behavior is hit-or-miss. Sometimes they clear a room perfectly; other times, enemies act completely unfazed by an explosion at their feet. Bullet Penetration: Wall-banging through doors feels random. Sometimes rounds pass right through, and other times they get blocked for no apparent reason. Attachment UI: A compatibility filter or indicator would be a massive quality-of-life update. It can be tedious trying to memorize exactly which specific rails, optics, or attachments fit onto which guns. Loadout Profiles: Please let us save full loadouts, down to our plate carriers and chest rigs. If I want to run a lightweight pistol-only build, I shouldn't have to manually swap out rifle mag pouches for pistol ones every single time. Magazine Options: Adding a wider variety of magazine capacities would be a very welcome addition. Audio Bugs: While the sound design is generally solid, my squad noticed a bug where suppressed gunshots sounded full-volume to certain players. It might be a local glitch, but it's worth a look from the dev team.
Wishlist Feature Requests

Optional friendly fire toggles.
A dedicated medical/revive mechanic.
An optional respawn mode for more casual sessions with friends.
A way to replenish gear like grenades and magazines in missions.
The hardcore tactical loop is excellent, but having customizable server options would allow different groups to tailor the experience to their preferred playstyle.
The Verdict
Ultimately, I'm having a great time with Geronimo. The gunplay feels authentic, the vibe is spot-on, and you can tell there is a lot of passion behind this project. It has its fair share of bugs, but that’s par for the course in Early Access—especially given the fair price point. If the team prioritizes fixing the AI, optimizing performance, and smoothing out the door mechanics, this has the potential to become one of the premier tactical VR shooters on the market. The foundation is already exceptional; it just needs a little more time to bake.
