For a game made by 2 people, this is an incredible experience.
i hesitate to put no because it is only made with two people, but i will go with my gut pros -makes you feel like you're really a scuba diver. i've never scuba dived but i have gone snorkeling, and the environment really captures of being underwater -disorientation in a good way. sometimes you have no idea where sharks and other animals are approaching, so your brain goes to find a way to survive cons -upgrading system. this is my biggest problem. you can only upgrade your weapons and abilities after a mission (at least what i've experienced). i would sometimes accidentally click too fast and it would lead me to the next mission. i wish there was a way to upgrade beyond that. maybe on the title screen or even just before you start the next mission -gameplay is sparse. it really is more like a shooting game with minimal story (which is fine) -sometimes...i had no idea what to do? the game would tell me i would need to go somewhere, but i wouldn't know where to go. but i don't consider this to be a bad thing. in the real world, you aren't given direction. but i wish the game would have a little more ground on where to go or what to do that being said, a game made by two people is impressive. i'd be willing to visit again if this (or future games) is fleshed out
ai generated everything
This game is beautifully atmospheric - from the graphics to the sound effects, it's really immersive. Most of all, I can't get over the shark models and how they move like real animals. Best of all, the sharks aren't being villainized, but used as tools by our big bad Kraken. It's a way different direction that I appreciate as a shark lover. Gameplay is simple and linear, but it's fine for what it is. You have objectives, you have things to find, and you have enemies to deal with as you uncover the secrets of your foe. The game will have you looking over your shoulder, feeding into the paranoia, which is justified as you basically play a game of manhunt with enemies that all swim better than you. I recommend this game for people who like a challenge and then like to try and beat their high scores. Personally, I'm here for the awesome setting.
the framerate was a bit too low for my liking, the gameplay was still enjoyable though the amount of AI art was kind of annoying wished they used actual art.
Actually its a pretty fun game to give a try, it has anbience but the ai art is lowkey depressing
better than subnautica 2
For a game made by only two people it is well done. The atmosphere in the water can be felt, the gameplay is fun with shooting all the sea creatures trying to kill you and the Kraken called Death definitely gave me a few good jump scares lol. It is also not overpriced either. If you find shooting games fun, want a little challenge and like the ocean then I recommend trying it.
meh.
repetitive, nothing deep at all, ai, bleh
