Originally bought this to play with friends but none of them could actually buy the game. Tried returning the game, didn't work. Today i was bored and decided to give it another try. It was... good? Why you should buy this game: Very satisfying gun mechanics and combat Fun action packed missions. Good graphics. Multiplayer support up to 4 people coop. Very fun story campaign. This game def scratched some kind of VR itch i had. Why you shouldn't buy the game: Online playercounts are at rock bottom, if you want to play with people you WILL need friends. Enemy/Ally AI is dumber than dirt. Some story campaign missions are really hard for no reason. Sniper NPCs are spammed in every map i played. Support for the game seems to have ceased in 2023, no more updates. Suggestion: Wait for a discount, full price is just not worth it imo.
This game is awesome. Good value for money. No one playing coop . Would love to see updates and more maps soon
A fun modern military shooter released in a time where there barely are any left aside from CoD, though I have the suspicion that the game was supposed to be a regular shooter or a rail shooter first befpre being converted into VR. First of all, the game wanted me to grab a controler when starting the game and all button prompts are shown as XBOX buttons as well. Secondly, compared to other VR games some other reloading mechanics, like putting shells into a shotgun or putting a new rocket into an RPG are automated. And third, enemies rarely press their advantage and a mostly static. Sometimes you have a few that move closer when you reload or are distracted by other enemies, but most of the time they keep standing at their spot taking potshots at you. Overall the game feels more like it was supposed to be a rail shooter. I don't mind that, but it is very linear. There is no exploration and even if you can explore a bit, there is nothing to discover. The game itself plays like your traditional Call of Duty campaign. You spawn in a level, are given some story elements why you are there and then shoot your way to the exit. It's also just shooting, there are no puzzles or anything else. And just like in CoD, you are limited to 3 weapons only. 1 main and 1 secondary weapon that are given to you by the game and can't be changed and 1 tertiary slot you can fill as you chose with the weapons you find in the levels. There technically is a 4th slot as well, given that you can still pick up guns as much as you want and can reload them as well. You just can't holster them, meaning they will disappear if you die. ( Oh, and once equipped you can't exchange your left shoulder weapon for an other one. Once you have chosen, you've chosen you soulbinded it to you) Speakin of, there is quite a good selection of guns as well. M9s, DEagles, FAMASs, M16s, Glock 18s, Miniguns, Grenade Launchers, Bolt Action sniper rifles, all the guns you expect from a shooter are here, with some being more rare than others. Ammo is infinite for your regular guns and while special weapons like the Minigun or RPG can run out of ammo, it automatically recharges over time. Same goes for your grenades and the healing pen you have (health is still regenerating). I do find the game a bit weird with the guns though. I assume it's realistic, but unlike Arizona Sunshine for example, you can eject magazines from psitols and SMGs with a button press, but for rifles you need to eject the magazine by hand. Yet with double barrel shotguns you eject the empty shells by a button press again while pump action shotguns require you to pump in the next shell manually. Pistols and SMGs also can be reloaded by holding them to your chest, but only pistols allow you to reset the slide with a button press. With SMGs you have to chamber the new bullet manually. And any other weapon type doesn't have the hold to chest to reload mechanic at all. I understand why they did it, since it makes dual wielding and using riot shields so much more convenient. But it feels inconsistent. As for the enemies, there is everything a modern day setting has to offer as well. Rifle troops, Shotgunners, Shields, snipers, LMG and Minigun units, RPG guys and Ogryns ;) What differentiates them from CoD is that they come in different tiers, with those in higher tiers having more health and dealing more damage. Overall enemies are somewhat bullet sponge-y, which is a nice plus for me. The campaign has 13 missions with each being around 20-30 minutes in length. You can also play it in 2 player coop. You can chose between 6 difficulties. Easy, Normal, Normal+, Hard and Too Hard and Realism, which is basically Hardcore (limited ammo, no HUD, both you and the enemy take increased damage). The whole campaign can also be played in 2 player Coop. There is also a 4 player Coop mode with 50 missions. I didn't play that myself yet, but at least it lets you select your own equipment. New guns have to be bought though with ingame currency. All in all Sierra Squad is a simple, but fun Arcade shooter that fills the hole modern military singleplayer experiences have left behind.
its very fun and tactical
BEST VR shooter out there. Having a blast with haptic vest, arms and visor on the campaign so far. Cant wait to dive deeper. Good job Devs!
bon jeux ouawww
It is such a awesome game!!! The guns are some of the best VR guns i have used, and the game. For being a newer VR titled is very well optimized! It plays a lot like a COD campaign, and is a laid back, fun VR arcade shooter!
