Genesis Rising

First mission already not working. Probably only compatible with Windows XP or something. There is probably a fix for it in the community area, but meh.. I finished this game years ago and just bought it to have it on steam.

Tough one to get running. Yet A GEM once you do. Win 11 here required EVERY FIX available in the forums. I had to download the Exe replacement off GoogleDrive, and UNPACK all the Zip files in the WORLDS forlder before I got the joy. Also game ONLY runs PERFECTLY for me aspect ratio wise at 720p. Still even with all these issues THE GAME IS WORTH IT :) an overlooked classic IMO only reason it gets such bad reviews is due to how hard it is to get running for many people I am a computer expert though, and it took me about 45 minutes of work. Then another 30 minutes to get the screen resolution perfect (basically just figuring out which is native). unpack the ZIP files in the WORLDS folder https://drive.google.com/open?id=1W-jLYoSZjyEwAtImXDGxGObbs2p0litK ACTUALLY GAME CRASHES AFTER TUTORIAL LEVELS...and even though I invested about an hour and a half straight trying massive fixes, it still choked on me there from my save-file. So sadly, I have to pass this one on to the failure bin as I REFUSE to waste anymore time faffing around without a clear idea of what is causing the crashes. Believe me I tried like 30 adjustments and loads. One one barely got through!

This is one very tedious LOADING game. If you want to purchase it? You just might consider the loading/running fix I posted for it. Click view community hub then click discussions. This game apparently works superb on a Windows 10 operating system.

Game doesnt work. Do not purchase. Valve should have removed this thing from their store years ago.

Well, I only paid a dollar for this game (sale), so I am not surprised to find out that it doesn't work. At first it would crash to the desktop, but I managed to a least get to the opening menu and start a game. Then it would crash in the loading screen, so pick you poison. The "None Stream Version" might work better or not I couldn't tell you. However be prepared for some trouble shooting in any case.

greate for a couple plays but the game needs to be updated or expanded upon. Its a bit repetive after you played it for the 10th time.

Tells me my graphics card is unsupported and none of the fixes suggested by anybody works. Guess I'll just have to get a refund. A real shame, because it looks rad and has an interesting premise.

I'm only recommending this because its 1$ right now. But when it goes off sale its not worth the price. The game crashes a lot. Id say 8 crashes within 15 hours of game play time.

Mostly I'm quite okay with things that have swarms of bugs flying out of every orifice, but not so much with software. There's some decent ideas (and a fantastic/terrible plot) underneath the bugs, but I can't really recommend this. Watch an LP on youtube or something instead.
