Epic game. like a single player mmo: harvesting nodes, clearing dungeons, putting skill points in the talent tree, made a house to store my gear, going on an epic quest, side quests. quests have choices. got a companion that follows me around and casts holy spells. i can put gear on him and choose abilities for him. got a horse early on, exploring is fun. game is not punishing. absolutely a joy to play. Voice acting is extremely hit or miss, but its cute. my character felt very weak until i leveled up a bit.
RECOMENDO.

Gedonia is an ambitious open world RPG by a solo dev. On the surface, it offers incredible build variety and an impressive breadth of content, but as the adventure unfolds, some of the rough edges become apparent. Later areas lack some of the care and density of the opening regions, and while there are many skills, the strongest builds often converge on the same supporting trees for mana, survivability, or utility. Even so, Gedonia succeeds where it matters most. The world invites exploration, experimentation, and adventure. Its systems are flexible enough that theorycrafting is genuinely rewarding, and despite its flaws, I found myself happily getting lost in its world for 67 hours. For a solo developer, it’s an impressive achievement, and I’m genuinely excited for Gedonia 2 Version 1.0.
This game came to me in a dream.
its basically a kind of gothic 3 but without that many bugs. it has great loot, uncharted territory and some interesting skills and combat design.
I own both Gedonia and Gedonia 2 and i'm already in love with the series. Gedonia 2 is a huge improvement compared to this one, in terms of music, graphics, skills and voice acting. Despite of that first Gedonia still offers a lot of replayability and hours of fun. This game seems finished, but Gedonia 2 is still in development and could be improved, that's why I would like to give the developer some constructive feedback that could be applied in Gedonia 2. I wish Gedonia quests were more polished, meaning less buggy, more structured and better organized. Some of the quests in first Gedonia are just unclear, I revisit the places with marks on the map multiple times and can't find any solutions. I have no clue if the marked area is where the solution is to be found or if I need to traverse all the biomes in search for the clues or if the quest is just buggy. If Gedonia 2 would improve the questing it would already be few steps ahead AAA games, even without top notch graphics and music made by Hans Zimmer. I think bad questing is the plague of moder action rpgs. And here I don't mean that they are badly written. I actually don't care if the quest is about missing cat Fluffy or some Harry Potter-like plot. What I complain about is these: unclear clues, useless logging, misleading markers, bugs, quest NPCs missing or being killed before the quest. In this case I would prefer 10 polished quests about Granny and her missing cat over 100 super immersive buggy and confusing quests that I never will be able to complete, no matter how long I ride on my horse through the entire world map in search for the answers. I don't know. Maybe tha's just me, but I always like to complete what i start and not being able to complete a growing list of quests, makes me want to throw my computer out of the window. This was the reason why I lost interest in Oblviion. I left the game with main quest unsolved, becuase of famous Martin bug. The only questing I enjoyed was Shivering Isles DLC because it was actually well made. If something blocked me in the middle of solving the mystery behind Sheodorath I would pull my hair off, but somehow the DLC and working guild quests (with some minor bugs like some quest NPC being killed before the quest) i forgave Bethesda the terrible executed main quest (that they still didnt clear from bugs even in the new remaster, at least from what i heard). That being said, dear developer, please make quests polished in new Gedonia and your RPG game will be already much better than those made by big studios.
Simply said this ain't it.
