Played through the campaign for gears of war reloaded. This review will be mainly about the campaign and the redesign of the game. Pros: Graphics: They did a great job remastering this game. Reloaded brings to life the original gears in all the best ways while maintaining its grittyness and hyper violence. The world is nice to look at, with some really good lighting effects and also insane skyboxes. Overall solid job done. Gameplay: It's gears of war. It plays exactly like gears of war should. Its a little janky like the original, but overall its very solid. The guns feel good, the violence and dismemberment is there. The headshots, when they explode, have the satisfying sound everyone can hear. It's all very gears of war, exactly what you want from the franchise. Weapons: Plenty of weapons to choose from. Has a decently varied experience. Not as much as the modern gears, but its there. Co-op: like usual, you can play the entire game co-op. Thats how i played the game and it made the experience even better. Story: as the set up for the better gears of wars, i feel the story still stands the test of time. I would like to see a remaster like this for 2 and 3. Cons: Glitchy: the game can be a little glitch. We ran into a few bugs here and there but overall it was a solid game. Still though, for a remaster theres no excuse it should be glitchy at launch. Xbox servers: We suffered random disconnects a couple of times. Xbox servers tend to do this from time to time. I dont understand why this is. I experience nothing like this is any other games outside of xbox. Overall reloaded was a solid remaster, keeping to the core of the franchise, boosting it with modern visual technollgy and putting it out there for people. I enjoyed my time playing this game and if you can find it on sale i highly implore checking it out if you are a gears fan. Thanks for reading.
I purchased it on Steam sale 2026, and got a refund after an hour of playing. Pros: Graphics, gameplay, sound, and overall production design. Cons: Matchmaking is dead in co-op campaign. It doesn't help that the partner A.I is terrible. I will re-purchase it ONLY if it's at 90% off.
Pros: -Its Gears of War -Its Gears of War 1 (The best Gears) -Its Gears of War UE (Also Gears 1) -The multiplayer -Crossplay/plat w/ PS5 -Campaign is great (Its Gears 1) -The better movement system -No crazy skins -Its Gears of War 1 -The Sniper Cons: -Gnasher is inconsistent and awful -Snub is the snub -Macro Snub -Macro Bounce -Rage Hackers -Bad players (bums) spam report if you are better resulting in bans (skill issue) -Grown men spam report if you say bad words (Rated M game btw) -No Proper ranked play -Unlimited Ammo Hammer of Dawn -Its Gears of War PS. My wife took my kids away from me because of this game 10/10
when your friend makes you buy a 20 dollar game and refuses to play it coz he raged too hard at a part
This is the definitive way to play GoW. I hadn’t played it at all before and was treated to a great third person shooter in a unique sci fi setting. I recommend picking this up especially before E-Day releases, which I am very excited for.
lol wall bounce learning curve is pathetic. people are gay
A better port than the ultimate edition, and still a fun game 20 years later. But NOT worth the current asking price. Wait for a sale.
need 2 and 3 on pc now
Will be alot better if they added bots in VS and horde mode.
AI coded by AI if that, more like steve wonder. e-day coding like this will kill the game good luck devs but this is a cash grab
