Tldr: if you enjoy the Mecha Genre and the Ace Combat franchise; this game will 117% be your cup of tea (10$ base, and 15$ with dlc is an incredible steal) After 100% all the games content, I could not find any major or even personal gripes with the game. Game understands what it wants to accomplish and succeeds tenfold in that quest. Its incredibly reminiscent of Earth Defense Force and Ace Combat with artistic inspiration from Gundum; makes it easy to sing the games praises. The main gripe the negative reviews have is with difficulty, its one of the few times where balance isn't unfair; just a skill issue. Game lays out the tools you'll need to be successful on each mission, with some flexibility. Story is solid, nothing groundbreaking but is still paced wonderfully. Development team very clearly had fun making this, excited to see there future catalog grow.
Old school AC with modern controls, great value for its price.

Fun and simple mech game, not overly flashy or eye melting, nice heavy action.
Gearbits is a very solid experience that I find to be very recommendable at its modest pricepoint. It had a fun campaign with variety of mission, pleasant visuals, replayability in the form of secrets, further unlockables, and alternative game modes. The story, while maybe simple or short crafted a comfortable and fitting narrative with further effort to develop characters on the side. This one even got fun post release content updates like the Holiday Special and a paid DLC to further itself. There might be some unpolished bits or minor issues here and there but nothing that creates detrimental problems. A must have for any mecha fan wanting an excursion into indie. full review available on video here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSEsGJrw4iw
Pretty fun game, really worth it if you like things like old Armored Core.
This game is quite fun. It has a rather basic story, fun combat and interesting mech design. For a game made by one person it is a great love letter to the mecha genera of games. looking forward to future releases from this dev. If you like the old school armored core games give this a try.
Just a solid little heartwarming action game. The gameplay is tight, the difficulty might be just a smidge overtuned when fighting enemy mechs and a smidge undertuned when fighting bugs, but I really enjoyed my time with it. Looks like there's some bonus challenge missions waiting for me too, I only just beat the campaign and found the secret mech so far. I wish I knew what to call this "genre" of light vehicular combat games where they have fixed single-player missions where character sprites talk at you to set up the world and objectives. This game, Waves Of Steel, and Raidersphere 4th, to name a few. I really enjoyed it, a great way to while away a holiday weekend.
9/10, REALLY good game. First my review was negative and I placed it at a 5/10, then 7/10 when I've beaten all the campaign and now 9/10 after playing the DLC!!!! The game gets better as one explores its gameplay more and more but can be a rocky start, hence my initial review. The DLC is SO GOOD, it improves on the best parts of the base game and the new units are awesome!!!! I would love to see the game be pushed further, maybe a sequel built upon the game like Armored Core sequels that take place in the same gen as to only add more content by reusing what was already there!!! I would really love to see the scale increased in a sequel, I really want to see takes on Arms Forts or giant special units as boss fights specifically!!!
Great one of the best Games of the Kind.
