Reviews
I used to spend more than five dollars in a few hours pumping quarters into Gauntlet at the 7-11
I was happy to discover one of the Gauntlet titles make it to Steam. This feels a bit too MOBA-y for a Gauntlet game, but it's still fun to grab a few friends to smash some spawners.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Played the original 1985 all the time in arcades then on consoles it's the only game I know of that never had and end to the game, yeah the 1985 Arcade version never ended until years later when the developers added an end to it. So I went in thinking this would be like the Arcade oh I was so wrong it actually sucks even more than the Arcade I honestly have No clue how you can do that but it was done. All the characters in this game are 9 steps behind what the original gave players, like the Elf everyone knows he's the Fastest moving character in the Arcade but on this game they make his Fast movement a special WTF & he's soooo slow at moving start even when I noticed playing over and hour and upgrading him the level 1 enemies still move faster than him, total garbage. This game had so much potential to be great, what happened oh my god, I'll still play it but meh. Edited: So I gave the game another try and played for an hour or so and still came back thinking how bad this game sucks. I just recently played D&D online and that game is miles ahead of this as they share similarities with each other. Oh plus the fact nobody is online for this game really tells you how bad it is, as I sat 15mins searching for a game and NEVER found one. 12Hours in and the game now and its slightly feeling better now Not great but better, it should NOT take a player 12Hrs to make this game feel like the OG. Beat the Game now, what horrible ending and Boss Battle, well I can now delete this game and never play it again.

realmente e um jogo muito bom e jogando com amigos fica ainda melhor
Didn't expect to have this much fun. Game really flows well and everything feels so smooth. Combat is fun and challenging time to time so perfectly balanced. Levels are designed really well, you don't get lost in them and can easily traverse through. Loot is adequate but since inventory is unique not shared whoever gets first, get the whole package so you need to negotiate if you plan to play coop. Otherwise other players might get left behind a lot. Upgrades not really thought well because by the time you can unlock the proper ones game is basically over (even with extra missions). So you have to choose carefully and probably one or two skills at max. Of course don't know game has scaling for player count because we've played as 4 so that might affected the loot a bit. End boss fight was the biggest challenge of the game. It became frustrating because of camera, it locks at same place and if one of the players is out of frustrum then yeah you locked there eternally and probably get killed. So if they wanted to make it more teamwork oriented well area is too small, mobs usually covers the whole screen and you can not exactly stay close at all but game also won't let you to spread. Like some enemy attacks one shot you and if they're outside of the camera yeah you're dead most likely. Other than these game is really good, according to Steam 6 hours I played but it was just a one session I think so it's smooth. Recommended for coop especially.
The base gameplay here is fun. Difficulty ramps up pretty quick, and you will fail hard if you stick with the base build. The game requires experimentation and flexibility, which is good. The production quality for this game is very high. While it doesn't have as catchy a soundtrack as previous gauntlet games (Dark Legacy's was incredible), the overall sound quality is good. Some of the voice acting and character quips got me giggling, like the elf entering one area and saying, "Oooh, this place looks fancy. Better equip my fancy arrows!" in a playful tone. What isn't so good is that there is a very low ceiling for your character's damage output, and once you hit it, that's all you're going to get. That might work for you, but it doesn't for me. I need progression in order to stay engaged, and grinding gold for cosmetics ain't it. Maybe this game would work better for me if I had other friends who played it, but for the friends of mine who are gamers, they're all engaged in big-name MMOs that I just don't have time to play anymore.
Meh. Is a boring gold farm game with nothing to really spend the gold on. The farther in the game you go, the weaker you get. There are weapons/items to change game play a little, but nothing you do makes you stronger, so there is ZERO replay-ability with this one. Really only good if you have a buddy or two in Discord playing with you.
I don't remember exactly what playing Gauntlet felt like when I was a kid, but this managed to conjure the feeling I think I remember about playing Gauntlet when I was a kid. Arrowhead's Gauntlet(TM) Slayer Edition is a pretty decent isometric hack-n-slash adventure for 1-4 players with good controller support and solid execution on a classic, simple concept. Players pick one of the four classic Gauntlet classes - Warrior, Valkyrie, Wizard, and Elf - or a fifth, new DLC class: the Necromancer. I can't speak on the Necromancer as I played the Valkyrie throughout, alongside my partner playing the Elf. Classes mesh well together: Valkyrie's shield and melee screening pairing well with Elf's ranged DPS and area CC, for example. Each character has two main repeatable attacks/abilities alongside a major cooldown ability, a Potion skill, and a Relic skill - but every class can be further customised by switching up everything barring your basic attack. Depending on the difficulty - of the game and of the stage - core gameplay ranges from a hack-and-slash gauntlet (ha) of minor enemies to a hectic bullet-hell experience where you're trying to pick off specific targets while dodging and maneuvering around the attacks and other enemies filling the screen. You'll smash and grab through a few dozen levels that vary from standard linear action RPG affairs with minor puzzle elements to challenge-room style assaults that subtly task you with destroying spawn points or key enemies before you're overwhelmed by other elements of the chamber. The 'solution' to more gimmicky rooms was never broadcast but always very well signposted, and most rooms that killed us had revealed their solution during the process, meaning we could generally progress on our next attempt. Collectibles/loot is limited to the following: - Food - for replenishing health, so long as you don't destroy it with attacks first! - Gold - earned per class, gold is how you purchase new weapons, talismans or relics to tune your chosen class further towards your playstyle or role within your group - Potions - Each potion collected grants you one usage of your Talisman ability, a strong ability on a cooldown. - Kill Coins - Often found in secret or hidden locations within levels, Kill Coins can also be earned by amassing enough kills to fill the kill meter. - The Crown - Whosoever wears this crown at the end of the level shall earn 500 extra coins. A great little excuse to get yourself killed rushing after it, when an errant attack knocks it from your noble head towards your team-mate and you just /have/ to have it back before they get there. You'll be given the chance to spend your gold between stages, and experimenting with different relics gives you access to a variety of different augmentative abilities for lower costs, while your weapon or talisman upgrades can take a third or so of the game to save up for. Switching up equipment to solve the various challenges might be more necessary for solo players, but within my duo I found a great relic for my role pretty early, upgraded it as soon as possible, and was subsequently free to hoard gold to splurge on cosmetic armour/helms. It took us roughly 7 hours over a couple evenings to truck through, and the succinct and simple nature of the experience made it an easy few evenings to enjoy. Nice simple fun that hearkens back to its ancestors both stylistically and tonally, at least as far as my foggy nostalgia-stained memory will recall. I wouldn't have died if that ♥♥♥♥♥♥' guy didn't say "Valkyrie is about to die", though. Good stuff
