Naturally, at the moment... I have to say, there is no game. Progress is slow. If you asked me directly, I would say it's a game you check in every x(4-12) hours in order to see the progress, and then quickly check back out because there's nothing to do. On the plus side, they are currently working on it so it's not fully a lost cause - there is potential for this to change in the future. But currently? You start up the game, get set up, and check in on occasion to collect the idle rewards, and that's it. I haven't seen anything worth sticking around for, though I do admire the fact that a bit of effort has been put into building the home base. Ultimately, you upgrade everything as best as you can, close the game, and then check in every x amount of hours to collect progress. I expected a little bit more at the start, but whatever. It's a cute game, and for 80% off (spending no more than $1) it's worth it imo lmao.

This game is less a game and more a progression simulator. Your only "choices" come in what area of your farm/mine/forest/lake/BBQ you want to focus on first. Where you want to hire workers leaving you available to handle other areas. In the end, you'll have minions handling everything and you'll be managing the books allowing you to maximize profit so you can hire more minions to make money faster to... you get the idea. That might not sound like a fun experience, but it can be for some people. I'm one of those people. Reality is there's about 2 - 3 hours of gameplay, followed by 3 - 4 hours of management, and then an additional 3 - 4 hours of idle (offline) time if you want to 100% the game. I bought the game for $1.50, so even if I stopped after the 2 - 3 hour gameplay section, that's a fair deal in my eyes. The graphics are cute, the game is low/no stress, the music is relaxing, and the flow is very chill. System requirements are barebone, so if you're just looking to kill a few hours for less than the cost of a vending machine soda, it's a fine purchase.
Very cute game, only complaint I would say I have is that it feels extremely repetitive after a certain point. You basically need to interact relatively enough through about level 15/20 of each skill and then give a few of your helpers upgraded gear, but after that there is not really much else to it. Nice game and does have a few achievements that require activity but otherwise it can be left alone. I would love to see more activities that would help speed leveling up along and more range of upgrades for helpers. I know I have a lot of hours but that is because I found it just as useful to leave it on in the background as I was sleeping in case I overslept my cool down time. Great game for an easy idle/achievement grinding game.
Idle Fields is a slow-paced, colourful incremental game in which you slowly level up eight different skills (More might be added later). At the moment there isn't that much to do when it comes to interacting with half the skills whereas the other half require movement and all skills (Except fishing) require constant attention, which in my opinion kind of makes the main character pretty much pointless, unless you're constantly doing stuff, you'll just be standing about not working (unless you're Fishing, which is the only afk skill this game has). There are currently two "events" that this game that reward active players, balloons which give random items gotten from skilling, and birds which reward you with money. Being able to buy clothing for your workers is a nice touch, but it'd also be great if you could do the same to your character. The game isn't bad, but I don't think it's currently worth buying at full price. At the moment there's not much to do, fortunately the developer(s?) is active and still updating the game. Making other skills like fishing (completely afk) would make this game more like an idler. I'd rate the current version of this game 5/10.
I love running Idle Fields, catching fish and making tools for the workers. Currently on a Skill Locked file that's going peacefully well! (Aside of my occasional glances to the workers falling asleep at the grill sometimes.) The dev is also super nice and listens to feedback. There's a Discord for asking questions too!
The game starts out interesting enough but after you do a little bit of everything it just becomes a waiting game. There is pretty much nothing else to do but wait for the money and levels to come in. Nothing of substance to do or look forward too once you have maxed out helpers and offline time. I boot this game maybe for 5 minutes just to load the experience and goods. In regards to offline time, you are capped at 8 hours of offline progress it will allow you to have; even having purchased every single upgrade. Maybe if you care about easy to get 100% games you could pick this up for cheap when it goes on sale but there really is no substance to this idle game. The only tricky part will be having to leave it running and check back every once in a while, to get the balloons or birds achievements, everything else is guaranteed.
