Every now and then, the swarm throws a tantrum and sends in a giant boss. They're huge, unpredictable, and almost always on fire. Oh yeah, did I mention that there's even a bigger baddie at the end of each arena?
Fret not, you have the forest backing you up in the Sanctuary, a place where you can upgrade your powers to be more ridiculous than it is right now... for the right price of course!

I'm a Funguy having a fun time
Nice small game with impressive visuals for the price point. The balancing is a bit lopsided with some near useless powers, but it's an easy pickup and it's a pleasant time. Despite what the rare negative reviews often state, I did not experience a particular punishing game start or stunted progression. It's not very twitch demanding, which is nice. The wacky kid theme didn't do much for me but it doesn't get in the way. Given how inexpensive it is, it's easy to recommend if you are looking for something in the genre.

I really like the game, but at least one bug is game breaking so I would not recommend in the current state. I have gotten stuck in the upgrade screen specifically in Eggloseum map three of the four times I have tried the map. It was apparently a problem in early access if a Fire skill upgrade was cancelled, and has been around for over a year. Instead all three of mine have been from normal upgrades from Shrines. There is no way to select and upgrade, banish, freeze one or even Escape/Quit to leave the game back to main menu. I just have to kill the app in task manager and restart. It's a pain when it happens 20 minutes into a run.
