funny boat game
Hehe 5000 ton ship go
This game seems like it will be fun, but its extremely hard to just figure out the controls. Not the logic of building or anything, but just simply the controls are extremely complicated. I challenge a newcomer to just start by clicking free design. Good luck. This alone will greatly reduce capturing new players and even recommending the game. While I think this game is possibily good, I would not recommend it to anyone because of this reason. I will probably have more patience but yeah... I will try and update. Upon playing further my god, how awful for anyone lookng at the trailer and thinking oh yeah this game looks like fun, I will hop in and make something and play. The tutorials for even making a simple sailing boat are terrible, navigating is horrible and at every step of the way you feel you are fighting the game. If you do manage to build something finally out of sheer spite or peristence you might suddenly lose your vehicle, from it beginning to move, trying to spawn an avatar to try it or any number of 'whoops I don't know what that button does'. I think this is potentially a large market game, but I understand why it isn't more popular. It is simply a slog, not fun at all and pure overwhelming confusion at every step. There is not one construct shown in preview images or trailers that wouldn't take many hours to figure out how to build. Whilst I think if you somehow broke the barrier of figuring out these confusing controls, UI, camera and everything, there would be a great a fun game underneath, I simply cannot image the majority of people having the patience. Just a few suggestions that would greatly reduce this barrier: Have the build screen be an isolated location that is not actively moving your vehicle around potentially by default. No day and night cycle by default, especially seeing as the light or whatever doesn't seem to always be able to be turned on. Remove the 'factory' or whatever the default thing is in the designer. Quick easy to figure out 'default' controls like R for rotate, instead of hold TAB and press a direction. Yes have depth if you want, but like seriously r is not rotate? A way to quickly find your construct in case it gets lost. An easy option to save your vehicle when you start building one if you want. Hop in your vehicle much easier then 'spawn avatar' and have it potentially spawn at some pivot or origin point you weren't expecting. Visible controls in the option menu, this game is unique in that you actually can't change key bindings, if you can I couldn't see it. If you can't display them because its so contextual on which tool or mode you are in... maybe its to complicated? Ask yourself if you can play this easily as a new player on a laptop, if not then you failed. Challenge a 14 year old kid who has never played to play this game and see what happens if they don't start at the tutorial. Unfortunately I think you kinda dug yourself in a deep hole, this game has been established for some time and any changes in the layout and the controls whilst badly needed, will probably get negative feedback. Overall I feel this is a game thats had a bunch of stuff extreme detail and cool things put in and somehow it was forgetten that as a game, it needs to be playable.

More tutorial content than most games have total content.

I still haven't beat a single faction in campaign yet, and I am yet to make an actually viable combat ship.
the steel striders and the scarletdawn teamed up and crushed my dreams. 2 times would get brutaly molested again
Please make this game easier to understand, UI for building ships and controls are simply insane looking.
