About
Foxhole is a massively multiplayer game where thousands of players shape the outcome of a persistent online war that lasts for weeks. Players ARE the content in this sandbox war game. Every individual soldier is a player that contributes to the war effort through logistics, base building, reconnaissance, combat, and more.
Massively Multiplayer Warfare - Thousands of players connect to the same world and fight in a persistent war that lasts for weeks. Immerse yourself in a sandbox that includes hundreds of hand crafted towns, villages, and other areas of interest.
Logistics - Comprehensive logistics game where every bullet, weapon, vehicle, and drop of fuel is produced and supplied by real players. Win battles by cutting off supply lines or sabotaging infrastructure behind enemy lines.
Trench Networks - Fortify your front line with trench lines and bunker networks. Build underground bases with ammunition storage, engine rooms, intelligence centers, and artillery emplacements.
Weather System - A fully dynamic weather system that simulates snow and rain storms. Weather can have a profound impact on the battlefield, freezing over rivers, disabling equipment, and limiting artillery effectiveness.
No Man’s Land - Unleash devastating artillery bombardments that can permanently level towns and transform landscapes into a desolate no man's land.
Tank Combat - Dozens of tank classes and variants supporting tank crews with gunner, commander, and engineer roles. Tanks can be tracked, have their fuel tanks ruptured, or be disabled and feature an armor system with penetration and deflection mechanics.
Naval Warfare - Construct impressive fleets of Battleships, Destroyers, and Submarines. Launch massive beach invasions to claim territory on distant shores.
Train System - Players can design and build large scale railway systems, enabling supplies, vehicles, and other equipment to be hauled over long distances across the persistent world.
Facilities - Construct and manage industrial bases that can be developed into mass production centers or shipping ports servicing hundreds of logistics players every day.
Air Warfare - Build and operate squadrons of recon planes, fighters, bombers, and other specialized aircraft.
Paratrooping - Paradrop behind hostile lines to cripple key infrastructure and disrupt enemy logistics.

Spent over an hour crafting a scout plane, and then shortly after taking off from airfield the game disconnected and I lost the plane. I repeated this again, one hour to craft, got in the plane, lasted 10 minutes before another disconnect and again lost the plane. Did some research and found this is an issue with the game for years now. The sentiment that "this game doesn't respect your time" you see in many reviews is bang on.

Time Waster without you getting anything back out of it, it is like a job, that you are refused payment for. Your wok in the game in not rewarded, you get no ingame money to buy yourself a vehicle or weapon for you to use. You also cant make planes for yourself. (I heard the scout was possible) You may mine resources, build tens of ships to tech up, They will be sitting there for forever because nobody brings them ammo. Game gives you no hint as to how to load ammo and where to get it. Or how to produce said ammo and where, how to transport it. Plenty mechanics game devs never bothered to explain. So, what follows. You run into aircraft factory some guru and his followers set up. The guru or his henchmen start shooting at you, as if they own anything without your resources you mined and refined for them. Then no amount of sunk vehicles will be enough for that kind of treason. You build them up with your resource work for actual days and these unthankful wicked people try to kill you, because you are a spy in their paranoia. Guru and his henchmen are dependent on you and they do not have any rights over anything because you are on the same factional side. Devs set it up differently. But the Guru and his henchmen is a mafia system that the devs themselves set up and encourage, thus encourage the worst kind of unwarranted abusive behavior. Devs gave all the power to the most narcissistic of the playerbase, making evil ooze everywhere. With this, unless you only play infantry with a handgun 24/7 you will encounter these toxic buffoons who want to control what you do in your own game you paid for. By definition, such behavior will not be tolerated, but if you will want to hunt every abuser guru and his ilk, because of their abuses, and nobody else doing the justice, then the reason to play this game is completely lost. Devs get to engage you in intrafactional war. And believe me, abusers like the power to group abuse. Pretty sure its the same sort on the other factions side. Those gurus exist somewhere, game doesnt even inform you about their existence, they seek you make you their extension. It is your game, game you play is the way you want it to be. Not they or developers, who are NOT your superiors. You pay them, They are in bondage to you. Not vice versa. Even if you joined a guru and his ilk, you get nothing out of it, there are bigger gurus that stomp the small guru from existence. Call it toxicity, I call it evil. It is almost as if material, because it is so thick there. Remember to be 'polite' (euphemisms instead of real words) and follow nonexistent 'Rules and Guidelines'. You pay Steam, they do not get to order you around, you own them. You can choose others if they try to control you. Is the game polite to you when it treats you like trash ? Not at all. Only if you need pain, and have pain addiction, no gain, should you buy, because self-respoecting people who defend themselves against abusers are punished by the perverse system set up in the game, where abuse is fine, but wiping out a guru and their henchmen as retribution for abuse is somehow bad. Again, the game tries to tell you that your enemy is of green or blue color, which you are not. Reality is different. It tries to waste your time in actions that have no consequence whatsoever, or if you do the mining when nobody does, they say thank you no thank you, we get your resources you mined for us and here is where it ends. Resources are ours now and you have no right to demand anything from us in return. Perfect zero-sum evil. They could have made it differently. You work the resources, your account or something gets something that has value. And with it, you go into a factory where you build your stuff even if it was not made, because the design tries to prevent you from being paid for your work. It is free labor for the guru as if you were a slave. Imagine you pay for a game and you get treated in it by the system imposed as if you were nothing. The game treats all your actions with similar disdain. Until you realize, goodness, how could I have been led to believe by youtube paid propagandists that this would be something worth, not only your money, but also time, a swell as emotional drain. Unless you yourself are a guru and have your followers, where you get to abuse, but actually privatize all the resources and work from others, then there is nothing for you to do in the game other than mine, carry, give your resources you mined away for free to some who didnt even move a finger. And get nothing from your work. Steer clear, game environment is not toxic, it is perverse and outright EVIL. Cheers :)

well, the game feels dead not like shown online, the learning curve is good you can spend 100 of hours learning. not for me I was expecting more
