Kinda reminds me of Ghosts'n Goblins. Very difficult game, mainly because there is no savegame: if you die, you start all over. I tried with easy difficulty and I can barely arrive at the second world.. Recommended if you like challenging games that require you to be almost-perfect, or if you are a veteran of the genre.
Buen juego, aunque la dificultad me supera

Forsaken Flesh, developed by 86TIGER and published by PsychoFlux Entertainment, is a punishing 2D action-platformer that embraces difficulty as its defining identity. From its opening moments, the game establishes itself as an uncompromising experience built for players who enjoy learning through failure and refining their approach through repetition. Rather than relying on narrative exposition or gradual onboarding, it drops players into hostile environments filled with lethal enemies and hazardous terrain, demanding precision and patience from the outset. The gameplay centers around tight, responsive movement and close-quarters combat. Players must navigate dangerous environments while facing aggressive enemies that punish careless positioning. Attack timing, stamina management, and pattern recognition become essential survival tools. Unlike more forgiving platformers, mistakes often result in swift defeat, reinforcing the need for calculated movement and deliberate strategy. Every enemy encounter feels purposeful, requiring observation before engagement rather than impulsive aggression. One of the game’s strongest features is its selection of playable characters, each offering a distinct combat philosophy. The Dragon Slayer emphasizes durability and powerful melee strikes, making it more approachable for newcomers who need resilience while learning enemy behavior. The Great Thief balances agility and offensive flexibility, offering versatility for players who enjoy adapting mid-fight. The Kung Fu Master, by contrast, favors speed and ranged energy attacks but sacrifices stamina and survivability, appealing to players comfortable with high-risk, high-reward tactics. This variety encourages experimentation and replayability, as each character alters the rhythm and strategy of encounters. Level design contributes significantly to the overall challenge. Stages range from crumbling tombs to elaborate palace interiors, each filled with traps, tight corridors, and ambush opportunities. Environmental hazards complement enemy placement, creating scenarios where platforming precision is as important as combat mastery. Hidden keys and progression gates encourage exploration, though reaching them often requires overcoming some of the game’s toughest sequences. The world design is linear enough to maintain focus but layered enough to reward persistence. Visually, Forsaken Flesh adopts a pixel-art aesthetic that channels retro platformers while maintaining clarity in combat. Character sprites animate smoothly, ensuring attacks and movements remain readable during chaotic battles. Enemy designs are varied and visually distinct, aiding quick recognition during high-pressure moments. Backgrounds are detailed enough to convey atmosphere without cluttering the screen. The art direction prioritizes functional clarity, which is essential in a game where split-second decisions determine survival. Sound design complements the gameplay with punchy attack effects and atmospheric background music that underscores tension without overwhelming concentration. Audio cues subtly reinforce enemy attacks and environmental threats, providing players with additional information during intense sequences. The minimalistic but effective soundtrack maintains focus on the action, reinforcing the game’s relentless pacing. While the game excels in mechanical tightness and character differentiation, it offers limited narrative depth. Story elements exist primarily as thematic framing rather than a driving force. The focus remains squarely on gameplay mastery. This design choice may disappoint players seeking story-driven progression but aligns well with its hardcore platforming identity. Ultimately, Forsaken Flesh stands as a focused and demanding indie action title that rewards perseverance and skill development. Its blend of responsive controls, varied character playstyles, and punishing level design creates a compact yet intense experience. Though not expansive in narrative scope, it succeeds in delivering a disciplined, challenge-oriented platformer that appeals strongly to players who relish mastering tough, skill-based systems.
