Arcade Feeling der 90er Jahre. Ganz die Tradition wo man damals in der Spieltheken für eine 1 DM diverse Vollgasautomaten/Simulationen und man fühlte sich ganz Groß dabei. Perfekt eingefangen und Preis angesichts der "nur" 8 Strecken um die 10 Euro. Altes Zockerherz, auch für die Jugend von heute was willst du mehr? Entspannung pur für Stunden!!!

Excellent arcade racing game, all about taking those turns at just the right speed. Great smooth controls with F-1 (car sticks to track) type racing. Too bad all there is is basically just 8 tracks to play one by one (no championship mode) without any options, customization or features.

This is a quaint little racing game. It's definitely not fancy but the simplistic polygonal graphics harken back to the earliest era of 3D racing games, back at a time when the best you could get on console were sprite-scaled representations of driving. All the cars are open wheel vehicles, as expected, and it's got a good selection of courses (including facsimiles of famous racing circuits like Fuji Speedway and the legendary Monaco F1 street course). The music is chip-tune-ish square wave stuff and pretty cheery. The cars have some nice suspension effects and they handle easily. The only criticism I could levy here is I wish the cars had more unique handling characteristics between them (the car select is really more of a livery selection than it is picking a car that drives the way you want it to). If you can get this on sale, give it a go. It makes a nice complement to Hotshot Racing.

Formula Retro Racing describes itself with its own name. Formula describes the cars, the game is retro in graphic style and the core gameplay which is an easy guess...racing. The cars handle well and the overall experience is very nostalgic and this game is a by the book replica of famed arcade racing games with refined low poly graphics. I think this game sought out to achieve a retro feeling arcadey racing game and achieved it on many levels. The game offers several ways to get into racing Arcade style, Grand Prix solar or Multiplayer or you can freely practice the courses if you wish. The game comes with 8 very solid and almost familiar tracks which is very reasonable for the price point. There are several tracks to unlock depending on the mode. I do wish there were more things to unlock in the game and I wouldn’t be disappointed to see more tracks or variations and options of the 8 that come with it. The graphic style is a low poly high res style which gives the game a great feel and contributes to the overall experience. Your car has a damage meter that will explode if you damage it too much, and even better when you do you get these great cut scenes that turn the screen to grayscale and slows, I almost expect the infamous “wasted” to pop up on screen but either way I enjoy it. The only thing I found annoying was that the volume setting did not affect the menu volume at all. Otherwise I found the experience to be light and quick, and easy to jump in and out of, or play extended period of time in the Grand Prix mode. Always chasing that gold! The game has no frills or deep customization but exudes charm from the low poly trees and tires, and retro hype arcade music to the simple color scheme choices, all that would strike a chord deep with fans of retro arcade racing games. I certainly think there is room to add things but I think as is, rings true to the retro name. The experience is nostalgic with a touch of refinement and polish since the 90’s and even offers 4-person local multiplayer! It's a gem! Ok first off...I hope it is obvious, but you aren't getting Gran Turismo style with this. This is a cheesy little retro arcade "time extended" type of racer. If you realize that from out the door, you will get more out of it. Is it well put together? Not really. But it is fun! It is a blast slamming into another car and watching it explode to pieces....then you just keep going. There are only 8 tracks, but for what you get with it, you will get your $6 bucks worth. Its not a game you are going to drop 1000 hours into...but it is one to come back to now and then to play a track. Get it if you have some singles laying around and want a fun arcade style over the top f1 racer.

I just really wished two things When I turned the music off I would never hear music in the game again Also I wish when I changed the FX volume to off I would stop hearing the game scream at me
