learned a bunch from the dev logs on youtube, so I figured I'd give the company my support, played it for about 30 minutes, seems a little rough around the edges with the tutorial, but for a first game from a new studio, very good. They aren't asking much in terms of price, and you get a decent resource management game. I wasn't wow-ed but i don't regret the purchase. Pros: Resonable price, resource management gameplay looks deep Cons: tutorial is lacking Other: camera controls are wierd
This game still needs some more polish, but I think it's has potential to be a solid game. It has a feel to The Colonists, which I like. Right now, it's hard to get into at the beginning because the complexity ramps up a little too fast. But that complexity is what gives it potential. There are so many buildings and materials it's hard to know what buildings to choose first and the route system needs more refinement. Also, at first I didn't like the 'stark' look of the game until I found out there was a day/night cycle that's turned off by default. My suggestion: Turn on the day night cycle, and only turn it off if your computer can't handle it. It makes a huge difference to the look of the game.
I'm going to just say this game has a lot of potential! I honestly had a very hard time navigating the early game. I feel like the "routes" system feels really clunky and took me about 5 minutes to figure out how to link the right buildings together. I think maybe some sort of drag and drop system between buildings would be good. Like maybe click one building and drag it to the other, then it will ask if you want to create a route, give options from there, etc. Really hope that this gets an update, and the play-ability will go up by so much!
lost the first game in 10 minutes, spent too much money lost the second game in 20 minutes, working at a loss 3rd game, making profits, but progress is slow. "ok lets ramp this up a bit" 10 minutes later money is going down, steep. panic sell everything, right no rushing in to this any more. A solid would play more!
Overall it seems very good so far, I haven't played much but I just wanted to help out by leaving a review. I feel like the systems are very interesting and could provide lots of fun challenges. I would like if the early-game tutorials explained certain things in more depth, and if certain icons could be hovered over to see what they mean, such as the one you see if there's nobody working at a building. Great job on the game tho!
this game is about micro-management of routes, which i don't really find fun. it would be much easier to play, if i could make routes by just click and dragging one building to another. ultimately, workers could've just go and buy whatever resources they need themselves, and i only could place orders on what i want to produce. just like in stronghold. doing everything manually feels completely uninspiring and gets boring real quick
Game is pretty nice. Still needs a bit more polish and bug-fixing, but nonetheless a cool automation concept. Achievements in-game are very bugged at the moments. Tutorial should explain a bit better that you can move (completed) buildings, a lot of efficiency can be gained by strategically re-placing some of your buildings.
I don't get it. 2 hours of repeatedly failing during the tutorial. Just suddenly "Game Over". No idea what's going on in this game.
First serious dive into this type of game coming from the devs YouTube video's and can sense a real want to create a cool fun game so i will give this a serious go......for them.....for me..........for the little people!
