I first played Forever Lost: Episode 1 back in 2013 on IOS. Back then i was 13 and fell in love with the game while also being terrified of it. The game(s) recently came out on Steam and i felt obliged to get them in order to relieve the great game. Forever Lost: Episode 1 is still one of the best puzzle games that i´ve played, and i am not a fan of puzzle games at all. You wake up in a room with only one objective, to get out. The puzzles are entertaining, the enviroment is incredible and atmospheric and the story is interesting and i am excited to jump back into it in Episode 2 and 3. The game is quite short, took me almost 1.5 hours to complete it, but i did enjoy it all the way through. 8/10
I bought this one after playing Veritas (the latest game by the same developers) and really liking it. Since this game came out much earlier, I was expecting it to be a poor version of Veritas. Instead if turned out to be about the same quality, which is great! The game is divided into 3 episodes that are sold seperately, but I am going to review it as a single product. The first two games have identical interfaces and same graphics quality, the third one has a slighly better interface and visuals. Positive: - This is a pure puzzle fest. If you like puzzle adventures where you need to be observant, take notes and think outside the box, you will definitely love this game. - Interface is very fluid, which makes navigation and backtracking really easy. - I liked how the story wrapped up really nicely in the end. - Music is well above average. - When 3 episodes are combined, it has a decent length. I solved the first one in 2 hours and spent 4 hours on both remaining episodes. Hence it took me 10 hours to beat the whole thing, which is solid content for an indy game. - Each episode gives you increasingly more open areas and more challenging puzzles. - Gameplay is very nonlinear, which always work great for puzzle adventures. Negative: - Developers didn't strike a good balance between quantity and challenge level of the puzzles. About half of the puzzles are very straightforward. Although I didn't get bored with them, I couldn't feel any satisfaction either. The remaining half ranges from medium difficulty to pure genius. I genuienly wish there were more puzzles like the more difficult ones. The game might have benefitted from editing out the filler/easy puzzles. - There are several bugs and unfortunately no option to save manually. - Some puzzles are centered around wordplays. If English is not your first language, it is easy to miss the solutions to these ones. Conclusion: This trilogy and Veritas are some of the best puzzle adventures I played that takes in a non-fantasy setting. Highly recommended.

Vraiment intéressant, j'aime beaucoup l'idée de l'appareil photo ça aide énormément :D par contre j'ai eu une tonne de bogues... j'veux quand même savoir la suite ^_^
For players who are fans of "The Room" this game is a nice catch. The conrols are a little bit slow, the further you get into the rooms. If you have a little bit of patience the first episode is worth the money. But be aware: If you're using the hints, you're finishing this episode too fast.
In this video I take a look at Forever Lost: Episode 1 a mystery adventure puzzle game that's an older title and has been re-released to Steam from other platforms. I really enjoyed it and found the atmosphere, story and puzzles to be great. The best part is the price point, it's very reasonable for what it offers. Enjoyable game, finished in a Sunday afternoon. Graphics and game play were fairly smooth and story line was interesting. Didn't like that the camera would not delete pictures when I pressed the trashcan button so I had to shuffle through all of pics I had finished with to get to a clue. Totally worth it though, I have purchased the other 2 episodes as well and look forward to playing them.
I hesitate to give it a thumbs down, but I've decided it deserves it. The reason is that the controls are painfully, agonizingly and disturbingly slow. For example, it's close to ten seconds after hitting the back arrow for the scene to go back. It'a the same length of time usually when moving from room to room, or even picking something up. It gets most things right. The graphics are decent and the puzzles are challenging enough. It auto-saves when you exit, and you can turn off the music, the slowness of its controls is maddening. (and it ain't my computer, I'm well within the requirements)
I enjoy a puzzle just as much as the next person this game delivered on that, the game puts in into the characters shoes *if he was wearing any* feeling of dread and the need to explore and find a way out of this hell place, Forever lost kept me on course through out the game.
I love Room Escape games, and after beating a suite of them from another developer, I came across Forever Lost. In general, it was an enjoyable game. Some bugs need to be ironed out (cannot delete pictures taken, typing on the computer terminals in the game doesn't result in any text being inputted, radio was buggy, and a few other minor grievances.) Getting Myst vibes from the music, which was nice nostalgia. Most of the puzzles are pretty decent, I was able to figure out a few by simply clicking around them prior to finding the relevant clues to solve them. (Circle, Square, Triangle, Hexagon; Radio, etc.) In depth none the less, and game inception was clever- just be sure to explore it in its entirety and keep in mind some of its visuals. (I got what I needed and left the game, only to have to come back later because I didn't notice something.) Keep in mind that while the first chapter of most room escape games are free, and that the subsequent chapters require purchasing- this Forever Lost seems to be on the more expensive side, especially since chapter one did cost money.
