The autobattler where the market IS the balance patch. Build your team, cast your spells, create powerful relics, optimize synergies - but watch the ticker. Every minion you buy raises its price for every player. No permanent metas. No overpowered favorites. Just tactics, and flawed ones at that

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 17 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Flawed Tactics is an async and live PvP auto-battler with a unique mechanic: a live market that automatically balances the game.
Every minion and spell has a price - and that price changes based on what every player on the server is buying. Popular choices get more expensive. Ignored options get cheaper. No patch notes needed. The market does it automatically, for every player, every game.
There's no such thing as a permanently overpowered strategy here. The moment everyone starts copying your build, it starts costing more than they can afford.
The deeper you go, the more Flawed Tactics opens up:
Evolve — combine minions to unlock their most powerful form. Focus on synergies with other minions to create a team that scales over time and supports each other in battle.
Spells— make your minions vampiric, give them haste, convert an enemy to a pacifist or just steal the minion outright. Spells are a critical element to the strategy and survival is not possible without mastery.
Relics — created by spells they offer permanent benefits for the remainder of the game. Some give you an extra minion slot. Some alter how your entire roster fights. Some provide scale late game, but only if you can survive the early rounds.
The shifting meta — because prices update in real time, your next build may need to adjust. The best tacticians aren't the ones who find the strongest combo. They're the ones who spot what's undervalued right now.
Before the first round begins, you make two key decisions:
Your minion pool - choose 8 minions that will form your roster. Every random offer in the buy phase draws from your pool, not a shared one. Less chaos. More intent.
Your spell pool - choose 8 spells. Some buff your minions, some curse your enemies, some create permanent relics that reshape your whole strategy.
Each round, spend gold to recruit minions and gems to cast spells. Combine identical minions to evolve them into more powerful forms. Cast spells to increase scaling or just survive the round.
Then position your team on the hex grid. Watch them fight. And plan your next move.
Async PvP - Take your time. Browse the market. Cast your spells. There's no turn timer breathing down your neck. Face the ghost teams of real players who played this same round, then move on when you're ready.
Live PvP - Play in real time. Your opponent is watching your formation right now. Every spell you cast, every minion you position - they see it. Counter or be countered.
Both modes available at the same time - queue for Live while playing Async. When the Live PvP game is complete, pick up right where you left off in your Async PvP game.

This review was originally negative. That will not change. However to explain the problem I’m going to explain my most recent run as of this review. I was screwed. My biggest problem with the game is the market. It is present in all forms of the game regardless of if you are solo. This market tracks the popular creatures and spells with adjustments accordingly. In theory this balances out costs based on usage. In reality it takes the best stuff, most powerful strategies, and coolest ideas then makes them all unviable. This includes the starting creatures. This day I found all of the good stuff overpriced as usual. That was fine for early rounds because filling the board with quantity had a quality all its own. Unfortunately I was progressing through difficulties and spam wasn't really cutting it. My cheap roster included a bunch of things that nobody wanted; that included me. However I had a plan to beat the system. There is a sheep that multiplies every round its on the board. Zero attack; cheap for a reason. There was also a spell that would transform a creature into something random. This was a bad plan because anyone would obviously take better cards from the start, but at least it was A plan. Every round I tried to get something decent out until a sheep landed in the back to populate. Then the rolling began and it went poorly. Partly its because some better monster have a set up and other times I got garbage anyway. This run in question started bumpy. Each run you can lose twice before the wipe. I edged out a tie before taking a loss; mole and flower were good, but not game enders. I started to get a field, but nothing amazing. Near the end I got swarmed by bunnies and they consumed everything. With game on the line I doubled down. The one expensive spell I had was the ability to field more monsters; I invested heavily. Thanks to aggressive breeding and poor rolls I had a wall of cheap bodies to tank hits. The one thing I didn’t have was good range. In place of a real strategy it was throwing cacti, shrubs, rage monsters; whatever I’d been given to swarm. It was enough until the final round. I got lined up against a similar wall except they had a developed back line complete with someone practicing necromancy. My backline was a dude lobbing softballs. However in my back pocket I had a bunch of those absolute garbage spells. Specifically the one that turns your own monsters into assassins letting me select the target. The fight started and the mole popped up right next to that healer followed by my entire offense flowing in behind. Turns out the one monster who needed that revive was the healer with it. Rest of that backline collapsed turning into a flank. A brutal win for an incremental increase. What my story omits are the many runs that had no hope. The tens of attempts where things never came together or enemy (seemingly not suffering from current economy) was simply oppressive. I think the game has a good idea that is also a fundamental flaw.

Fun game with a very creative market system
Fun take on an auto-battler. The graphics are fun, and the market system is one of the most innovative things I have seen in a while. One of those games where you want to just play one more round!
Fun. Actively developed. The asynchronous PvP aspect of the game means there's no queue times to wait and you also have as much time as you want to puzzle through.
OK just a couple hours in and instantly loving this game - love the weird creatures and the interesting ballancing mechanic, stops things from going stale. I can see myself racking up triple digit hours in this game 😅
Game is fun, has good rng that can really screw you over or give you that perfect build. No real-time PVP yet tho But should be coming soon. The units becoming more expensive because they are bought more from the shop globaly is a really interesting balancing tactic. I am really curious what kind of meta will come from this since any build that is played to much will just nerf itself by beeing played to much. high hopes for this game
Really good autobattler. Interesting market system makes for a constantly changing meta.

This is my first review ever. I love this game so much that I had to make a review. Such a fun game especially with the market changing the price of units and spells so it's always fresh with new strategies. Highly recommend, excited to see what's added in the future.
I love it.
