Flappy Witch

Honestly didn’t expect to get this hooked.Game looks simple at first, but it’s actually pretty challenging in a good way. The controls are easy to pick up, but staying alive is a different story 😅 The pixel art and overall vibe are really nice too — kinda dark but still charming. I also liked the small story element with the witch trying to save her cat. being able to chance the look of the witch is realy nice .

Wahrscheinlich erinnern sich die meisten noch an den Flappy-Bird-Wahn. Falls nicht: Das war dieses Handyspiel mit dem super simplen Spielprinzip, bei dem man eine Figur durch Tippen in der Luft halten musste, ohne oben oder unten anzukommen. Und so doof und simpel das Spielprinzip ist, so macht es doch kurzweilig Spass. Warum also nicht dieses Spielprinzip kopieren und es gleich noch mit einer Story versehen? Eigentlich eine gute Idee. Als kleines Simpelspiel könnte das durchaus funktionieren. Nur, dann müsste die Qualität stimmen. Und das tut sie hier leider überhaupt nicht. Es beginnt schon mit der ziemlich hässlichen Uralt-Pixelgrafik. Alles ist zwar irgendwie stimmungsvoll gemeint, wirkt aber einfach nur altbacken. Die Story? Naja, ziemlich einfallslos. Aber immerhin gibt es eine. Wie aufgesetzt sie ist, merkt man aber spätestens bei den Gegnern, die plötzlich auftauchen. Woher sie kommen, warum sie auf die Hexe fliegen und sie ihnen ausweichen muss? Keine Ahnung. Ergibt alles auch innerhalb des Storyrahmens null Sinn. Das alles wäre noch verzeihlich, wenn wenigstens das Gameplay stimmen würde. Leider handelt es sich um eine der schlechtesten Umsetzungen des Flappy Bird Prinzips, die man sich vorstellen kann. Das Hauptproblem ist der viel zu kleine Bildschirmbereich. Die eigene Figur ist viel zu gross und die Gegner ebenfalls, was das Ausweichen extrem schwierig und frustrierend macht. Ja, es gibt eine Healthbar, man ist also nicht beim ersten Treffer tot. Dafür aber wird das Level sofort resettet, wenn man oben oder unten an den Bildschirmrand kommt. Und genau das passiert viel zu schnell, weil der Platz schlicht nicht ausreicht. Und weil auch das Schweben und die Flugsteuerung alles andere als balanciert wirkt. Fazit: Eine nette Idee, die aber wirklich schlecht umgesetzt ist. Selbst für Flappy-Bird-Fans absolut keine Empfehlung.

Yeah, it's alright. It's like a 36 minute game if you dont get perma death'ed. i thought the resets were infinite and doodles around enough to where i got killed on the last level. Gotta start the game from start again when you die

Really fun game! The artwork is beautiful and the music fits the theme very well too. My coordination skills aren't the greatest, so I kept hitting the top or bottom of the screen haha. That being said, I think it's one of those games where I could do better with practice. This would do really well on mobile too.

Flappy Witch, despite its simple mechanics, is a very fun and addictive game. It’s perfect for short play sessions, testing your reflexes while also providing an enjoyable experience. The difficulty level is well-balanced and keeps the ‘just one more try’ feeling alive. It’s great for relieving stress in your free time.

It’s such a beautiful game that it took me back to the old days. The story is incredibly beautiful I loved it so, so much.

Bad copy of "flappy bird" game, you need to shoot the little monsters and collect caps to renew your health. But literally zero guide about game and controls. Waste of money and time.
