Very simple and chill game. You catch and sell fish at 3 different locations and are able to purchase upgrades to improve speed, accuracy, rarity of fish, etc. Because of the simplicity of the game, it does get stale pretty quickly, but as a first title from the developer I enjoy the cute pixel graphics and always love a calming fishing game. As far as complaints, I think a lot of things could be improved with the effectiveness of the upgrades. Even after purchasing upgrades the fishing process doesn't seem to have much of a notable change. Another complaint would be that the achievements are very much grindy. For such a simple game with a very repetitive game play, an achievement like catch 10,000 fish is kinda insane. I've played for 11hrs at the time of this review and am still at only 700 something fish caught. To have to play this game for close to 100hrs to get 1 achievement seems pretty outlandish. Overall, I do recommend the game, it is simple and easy for players of all skill and age and has calming atmosphere and graphics. I'd look forward to see what the developer will do to expand this game in future updates.
I like the Game but there are still some Problems I see. First of all it seems like I cant catch the last Fish or any Shoes. Also there is an Achievment to collect trash. I did not find a single piece of trash so far. And the "Catch 1000 Fish" Achievment is a bit high I think. But thats just my opinion. If the trash problem is solved I will change my review to a positve one Edit: Thanks for the quick feedback. As promised, the Review is now positive^^ Greetings from Germany
After some consideration and multiple hours of grinding for fish. I do seem to enjoy the simplicity of the game, A great game to relax and catch some fish in your off time. Looking forward to updates and will continue to update my reviews as they come out. Can't want to see what comes of the game! A plus for the music as well, had it playing in the background for a bit and i did not regret it.

A simple game to relax
Are you an avid fisherman? Do you enjoy the occasional tale? Well do I have a game for you. I hope you have a good chiropractor because with multiple cosmetic unlockables and numerous mysterious aquatic figures to discover, this game will have you on the edge of your seat til your back just cant no more. 9 fish/10 fish
cutest fishing game! <3 love the pixel fish and my character is adorable >.< ! would buy again! cant wait for updates :3
I highly recommend Fishing Tale to anyone seeking a calming and enjoyable fishing experience. The game offers the chance to fill multiple pages of your fish journal without the stress of needing specific lures or bait. It's a perfect blend of relaxation and simplicity. Pros: The art style of Fishing Tale is light-hearted and accessible, offering a fresh take on pixel art that’s both visually appealing and easy to understand for all ages. The soothing music complements the gameplay, creating a tranquil atmosphere. I hope to see similar tracks added in future updates or maybe even the option for players to add their own music. Cons: One area that could use improvement is the player's level of interactivity while fishing. It’s unclear how much engagement is intended during gameplay. Perhaps adding more interactive elements, like a reeling mechanic or a system that considers factors like time of day, could make catching specific fish more rewarding. Alternatively, if the game leans toward an idle experience, balancing the rewards for more passive play would be helpful. What I'd Like to See: I'm excited about the possibility of seasonal fish and the chance to display my catches in an aquarium. Player housing could also add depth to the game, allowing for personal space customization and a place to showcase trophy fish from different biomes. In conclusion, Fishing Tale has a lot of potential, and I'm eager to see how it evolves. I look forward to future updates and will be updating my review as the game develops.
I was playing this game for a while now on my phone, on a break or a few minutes here and there. Nice music and my favorite Ta-Da sound. Very fun for kids, bright and no annoying mini-games forced on you. Interesting to click on things around, some of them make unexpected sounds. Somehow the game is on Steam now too, I just also found out that there is a shop and some more new staff all around in this build.
Pretty fun and relaxing! I love the sounds (the fishing reel sound, the sound of the water, and the new record sound!) The Steam Achievements are a nice touch!
