Reviews
great game, cozy atmosphere very good graphics and great story with multiple plot twists. The game is short itself but it's really worth its price, would recommend

3 Hours of riveting talking whilst walking back and forth slowly over a decent map with very limited movement dynamics and pathing. Interesting story. Depth is mid by the urgency with the music is good. Solid play.
Not bad for a walking sim. Annoyingly a little buggy (i swear half my hours on this game are just trying to get the racoon bite achievement to pop). It also benefits from having a machine that can do justice to the moody graphics. Some people don't like the story. I personally found it engaging enough, although ONE of the two major voiced characters I really didn't care for. The ending is not disappointing like folks have said, unless you're a certain kind of person who lets their imagination run away with them (can't say more than that). But really, this game's main attraction is just Vibing. The mood, supported by the painterly visual style, the natural setting, the navigational aspect of gameplay (accurate in broad strokes to wayfinding in the wilderness, imho), and the quite excellent, mellow post-rock ambience that constitutes most of the soundtrack. If you like the sound of any of that, you'll probably enjoy the game. If you don't particularly like walking sims/adventure games, Firewatch probably won't change your mind.
This is genuenly a great game, the graphics are really nice, the voice acting is even better. I just never really got into it that much, but that day will come at some point.
just wow. the story, characters, everything. wow.
