Brilliant concept, does need some work but excited to see where it goes.

It's a charming indie detective game meets the funny boardgame incoherent. plus one of you gets to be a dog.

good for the most part, but pretty sure some of our evidence got deleted upon reloading a save from yesterday, and we were unable to get those items back.

pretty fun! it is way past my bed time and i stopped truly understanding what was happening on my screen a while ago, so we got the wrong ending as expected. game got a little laggy, and unhooking (?) leads bugged out so i'm hoping that gets fixed. also had an issue where we had to restart our game and upon continuing the level, we found that the torn letter went missing and could no longer do interrogations for it and for the accusation section. which, by the way, we also didn't understand the whole accusation level either. we assumed that we would have to do all of them in order to understand the whole case and not that it would lead us to accuse someone when we were still figuring out the details of the murder. i didn't try to exit accusation once we completed the 'conflict of interest' puzzle so i'm not sure if there's a way to continue with the other puzzles while not committing to one specific accusation. looking forward to the full release of the game! didn't even realise the devs were australian, shout out to the team!

What an incredible game. Very much looking forward to the next cases. This had my friend and I in knots over information for a number of hours. Massive thumbs up.

Played the demo version of the game and now looking forward to the early access. This game is an awesome pickup if you've a friend to explore mysteries and puzzles solving together, the mechanic of limited communication is an interesting choice that can add a level of complexity to the puzzles that can be good fun. The dev team is responsive and there is an active community on the discord that can also help you find someone to play the game with. Recommend picking up if you enjoy cooperative puzzle games.

This game is so much fun! It has such an interesting and unique communication system, and its especially fun to try and figure things out with a friend. Can't wait to see more in the future!

Finch & Archie provides a unique but refreshing approach compared to other detective games I've played. Had to play it twice just to experience playing both characters and the game really rewards you with a very different perspective even if you already know the plot. The depth of each character kept the story unpredictable and engaging - you really need to comb through each detail to paint the full story. I particularly enjoyed the evidence board, and exchanging information in-game. Accusation phase was a bit confusing - it'll help if the answer gets locked-in with each sentence instead of the entire suspect board. Couple of bugs but understandable during the early stages :) Great game whether you're a casual or avid gamer. Easy to play but will keep you on your toes all the way to the end. Can't wait for the full release!!

2 Player cooperative game that creatively uses the differences between playable characters as a funny and interesting mechanic. -- Positives The division of responsibilities is done well where it felt like both players always had something to do while helping each other out. It's fun speaking to each other like cavemen and hoping the other person understands. The story is presented with several cutscenes with very beautiful ink-like art. Replaying the story was fun from the other perspective and there's replayability if you're a terrible detective (I am a terrible detective). -- Potential for growth The game currently is a little bit clunky in the menus but gameplay is fun. Some of the menus and UI could be improved but the devs are responsive and aware. -- Overall I'm excited for future updates and where this story progresses. It's a really fun game to play with a partner and really testing for your communication skills.

I have nothing but praise for this game. It is exactly what it claims to be, in the best possible way. The clues and puzzles are challenging, but rewarding. My friend and I (certified idiots) were able to complete everything currently available without feeling frustrated or like anything was unfairly difficult. The game also manages to perfectly balance the murder mystery aspect with humor in a way that is so rarely pulled off this flawlessly. If I HAD to pick a negative, I'd say that the lighting in the game can make it a bit tricky to locate your partner, as they can blend in to the shadows, but that's nothing a quick bark or whistle can't solve, and the map locations are small enough that you'll run in to them just a couple minutes of searching. All in all, I would give this game an 11/10. Absolutely fantastic, and I cannot wait for more.
