The Game is quite okay and fun, but there are some poor design choices. - you can not edit your play field. To one side of my playfield i have my bed and i am constantly in the threat of running violently against it. It would be nice if you were able to manually change the play field. Like this i always have to keep in mind not crashing into my sourroundings. And always reallocating the game space just for this game is a no-go for me. - the player movements often dont match their shots. As a goalkeeper I watch the player movement to anticipate the kind of shot he attempts. This is often not possible in final soccer - The game doesnt support the finger tracking of the Valve Index and destroys a lot of immersion because of this. - It gets boring after some time as there is only one scenario with fixed distance. Why not have some freekicks with other players, adjustable range etc. All in all this game does have some potential, but i think its just overpriced for what it does.
I got this on sale just to play as the goalkeeper and I am happy with and enjoy it. It was the perfect amount of difficulty for me on sim mode. I will keep coming back to this playing a little bit every now and again.
better than expected
This game needs a Quest port! I got this game in a Fanatical bundle of Ivanovich games. So I might has paid $3 USD for it. As with all Ivanovich games there's a high level of production value. It feels exactly like you just walked into a virtual soccer simulator as a high end arcade. Looks great, tracking is typically good, the music is totally late 90s arcade, and you'll sweating up a storm after being completely immersed into the goalie play. That said I think it needs a bit of tweaking for new VR platforms like Quest 2. Its nearly a 6 year old game and I'm unsure if it's been updated regularly for the quest touch controllers l Sometimes it lags, but I do play it wirelessly via virtual desktop. I'm sure it's better wired and It may be one of those games that just works better with airlink. As for hardware. I'm using a 2600x/3060ti and on lower settings I get a consistent 120fps. When there isn't any tracking lag from my wireless set up, it's butter smooth and still looks great. I'd give it 4/5 stars(almost 5) there's a long campaign with a fair amount of difficulty to it. Lots of other game modes, including co-op; and if you're feeling lucky you can even mount a controller to your foot and do penalty kicks! I'd probably pay $15-$20 for it, if it had a native quest port.
