Jousting VR

yeah this is actually pretty cool, mechanics are basic but effective. I felt like I was... you know actually jousting. Without the blunt trauma. Would be cool with one of those haptic vests or even that sound vest that would vibrate where the lance made contact. So yeah for 5 bucks this is worth picking up. Since its early access would be cool to walk around the court and watch ai joust and get demolished.

This game is GREAT! I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun it was and how challenging it gets. There are 40 levels at the moment . You unlock pieces of armor and upgraded jousts by completing levels and achieving either a Bronze, Silver or Gold rating. These items do make a real difference in your success rate and you really do get hooked on going for that gold medal. The game looks and sound great with very accurate jousting mechanics, you really have to thrust in order to hit enemies and targets. I especially like the challenge levels where you really need a high skill level to unlock gold, joust, duck, dodge, and block your way to the Princess! Experienced on a Meta Quest 2 using airlink. Welcome to Medieval Times - Jousting VR - Physics Combat Welcome to the Medieval times, where we have just enrolled in the grand jousting tournament. Jousting VR takes place in an amazing cartoony looking world. It feels nice be immersed into it. Do not let the games cartoon charm make you the combat is going to be that way. The team with in a complete different direction. The combat is based off of actual jousting combat physics, and it feels great. The game has 2 modes of play. There is the tournament mode, where we progress through the tournament. Fighting knights ,and completing challenges to unlocking new gear and make it up to the Princesses. Then there is hot seat mode, where you and a friend can play challenges to get the best score, sharing one VR headset. The game also lets you customize the look of your Knight and upgrade and unlock new gear. This really adds to the game, and will have you going back a stage to get the best possible score. The game world looks amazing and is very charming, you will love the immersion. The controls are spot on playing seated or standing. The combat is amazing. The weapons feel solid in your grip and feel like they connect with the enemy. There is a few seconds where it goes into a slow time mode, this is your window to plan both your attack and defense. It feels great. They did a great job on the weapon physics. Over all I had an amazing time in this game and will become the grand champion of this tournament. Really funny little game. The graphic style fits the game, and I would love to see it as a stand alone version for the Pico 4 Ultra. I was pleasantly suprised, as I didn't expect much of the game. Good mechanics and customizations. Perfect for just popping in to play 5 minutes if you prefer to not run the whole campaign.

----傻逼小游戏持盾手动来动去动啥呢，盾牌是固定在左手肘部和大臂上的，不是的拿在手上的！还有那什么训练关，我给你玩骑射呢？！谁骑枪比武左躲右闪的，躲个铁毡，开发商就不该用这个题材做做不好还毁了Joust这个题材，现在玩过这个游戏的新人都以为用竞技骑枪可以伸长胳膊戳对手，Joust盾牌拿在手上了。 ----还是那句话，就不该做，用你的马赛克引擎好好搞小游戏吧。

Works on Reverb G2. This is a neutral review. Jousting VR is not a particularly good game: its very short, the gameplay is basic and there is not much variety to its challenges. But I enjoyed it and even replayed some of the levels after finishing the campaign. I'll start with the positives, there are not many of them. Jousting in VR is just a fun activity: seeing opponent falling from a horse is very satisfying, even if in terms of gameplay the duel was just a simple precision challenge. Now for the negatives: - lance is weightless and attached to player's hands, rather than being held; - duels have no difficulty progression; - there is only one environment and one very repetitive soundtrack for all levels; - the game uses some Halloween cosmetics all year round.

Such a fun little game. Definitely feel like I got my money's worth even in the short time I've played. I hope at some point the devs figure out how to implement multiplayer because I could see myself sinking days into the game if that were the case!
