A throwing physics challenge that's tricky to master, set in a bizarre Viking universe. 2P features party-game style madness; 1P is more of a skill test. Throw batons to knock over your kubbs (logs) while trying to avoid theirs, and take out the king last to win! But knock the king early and lose :O

I've only touched the single player, and it's surprisingly fun in short bursts. I plan on coming back to this again and again to gold medal each level and can definitely see myself getting the family involved in some baton-lobbing battles
I've spent a good few hours playing this with my partner (on their account) and I have to say there is so much potential here. I know the developers are working really hard to bring an online mode for this game which will be absolutely fantastic. I really want to battle it out in this game online, perhaps climb a ranked mode.. and who knows one day become an eSports champion of Kubblammo. For now there's plenty of single player action to give you a feel for the game and it really is a hoot as couch co-op. Featured in Level 014 of Three Extra Lives: https://threeextralives.fireside.fm/level-014 EDIT - 4th July 2021: Nearly 2 years from my original review and Viking Trickshot has fully now released to include online multiplayer. The game is still heaps of fun and single-player provides a great challenge to the perfectionist trying to achieve the golden scores in over 60 levels. It's amazing to see the Viking game of Kubb reimagined in this wacky universe and there's something extremely wholesome about the entire game. I have also been very fortunate to play a few rounds with one of the developers Ethan Close where I got to ask questions and peek behind the curtain of the game's development, oh and no and spoilers but also maybe get my butt kicked 🤣 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1073797810 ❤️💚💙
Viking Trickshot is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as a cash grab by lazy mobile devs. It's a sincerely made, but shallow recreation of an old Scandinavian game that involves throwing sticks at blocks... but really this works out to a game with shallower gameplay than Angry Birds. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the graphics. Because this is a mobile app, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the iPhones that the game was designed for. These are unfortunate handicaps and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was an afterthought for the iPhone developers who are to blame for this. The game is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for mobile phones forces upon a game. Once more, mobile devs have made gaming worse for everyone. I didn't spend thousands on building a gaming rig just so I could pretend it's an iPhone. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. You don't have to take my word about how bad the game is, we can measure the interest in a game by how much people bothered to play it. Viking Trickshot has achievments, and they show us a very clear picture that the game absolutely failed to capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for knocking over 10 things off a bounce, and only around 8 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. That's a tiny, tiny proportion of gamers who even bothered with this. Ouch. Viking Trickshot isn't free, even though it looks like it is. It's a demo that's incorrectly been published as a "free" game to mislead gamers, but if you actually want the full game you have to fork over $10 USD. For a crappy iPhone app. That's not okay. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price and misleading/unethical behaviour from the developer, this is impossible to recommend.
This is the only video game my wife will play with me, and we always have a great time when we come back to it every few months. It's a fun little game, especially two player, and has a ton of occasional replayability.

This is a very fun and challenging free to play game! It reminds me of Angry Birds but instead you are a viking using a baton.
