Un crisse de classique. Ça pis Dragon Quest 1, mmmmhm. Rien à dire. 8/10 Pour m'avoir fait perdre du temps en watchant un guide en ligne... Ça valait la peine j'suis sérieux! Super de bon jeu.
The OG.
Where it all began. These Pixel Remasters are very well done. Story is short but very fun. Simple compared to the later games.
Highly underappreciated today. Very worth playing though it's short.
Love it!
amazing game all the way through <3
So I've decided to take it upon myself to do a little mini marathon of the Final Fantasy series to sort of set myself up for the release of Final Fantasy VII Revelations. It's nothing massive, I'm just going to be doing FFI to FFVII, then playing FFVII Remake and Rebirth hopefully before the third part drops. I'm sure this is going to be a lot of fun, as I basically have 200+ hours of content to get through. So let's start at the very beginning. Will just be doing some quick thoughts for each game, so no paragraph dumping this time. FINAL FANTASY ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'm honestly kind of surprised as to how much I ended up enjoying this game. Granted, I think a lot of that comes from the fact that the Pixel Remaster version totally bends over backwards to streamline the experience as much as possible. The option to speed up battles (with an auto-battle feature to boot), the new map feature, automatic re-targeting, the ability to run in dungeons, and much much more, are the life-savers that pull the game up from being a tolerable experience to a genuinely enjoyable one. I never once felt like the game was wasting my time. We also need to talk about the music rearrangements. I honestly think the Pixel Remasters are worth getting for the new music alone! They're that good! Nobuo Uematsu, the guy who composed the original, came back to compose the new music, and it definitely shows! With all of that said though, I would not recommend this game to anyone starting the Final Fantasy series, as you can tell that this is the first one they made. The game is horribly balanced (even after all of the stat changes), it's more frustrating and cryptic to navigate if you aren't using a guide, and combat (especially magic) works very differently in this game than it does in modern entries. Part of me kind of likes that though. It gives the game a sort of home-made feel. So Overall: Final Fantasy I gets an 8/10 rating from me. I recommend if you're curious about the start of the franchise.
Old school and epic!
7/10 genuinely so good, basic and sometimes very hard to figure out where to go but at the same time it serves as a historic moment in gaming and with a simple heartfelt story. Like playing a bedtime story.
