Still a classic. Now with XP boosts so it won't drive you crazy like the original NES version. Unless you choose a solo thief run, then it'll be just as maddening as the original NES version.

The First Final Fantasy A classic NES JRPG remastered for modern hardware. This game shows its age even with the graphics overhaul, the remastered soundtrack and QOL features added from the other rereleases. The combat is pretty barebones and there is barely any story but there is this odd sense of classic adventure you get while playing; 4 blokes from who knows where travelling around the world to save from dark forces destroying the land (pretty generic am I right). Now due to the limitations of NES cartridges at the time most of the game is a dungeon crawl but you go to a lot of unique locations, a volcano, a underwater temple, a high tech sky fortress, so your not getting bored fighting in the same location over and over. The game take about 10 hours to complete and get every achievement. There's a bit of grind but you can use the boosts to increase the amount of xp and gil you get. I'd recommend to get this game if your a fan of the series and want to see where it started or you want a quick 100%.
Un clásico con un lavado de cara excelente, aunque con sus peros. Se nota que es de 1987 y hay que valorarlo en su contexto, pero las cosas como son: a nivel de historia y desarrollo peca de ser demasiado simple y me ha decepcionado un poco. No esperes trama elaborada ni trasfondo para los personajes; son cascarones vacíos y el juego apenas te cuenta de qué va la fiesta más allá de soltarte en el mapa con un "venga, a salvar el mundo". Se entiende por la época, pero no quita que a nivel narrativo no se trabajaran mucho las cosas. Quitando eso, en lo puramente jugable este Pixel Remaster es comodísimo y muy entretenido. Las mejoras de calidad de vida le quitan toda la tosquedad original, visualmente no tengo ninguna queja. Si asumes que el argumento es poco más que una excusa y buscas un JRPG directo y con sabor añejo, vale mucho la pena. Recomendado.

Nice game. Needs more desire to kill Chaos tho. Also kinda weird that the WARRIOR OF LIGHT that shows up in most FF media about FF 1, doesn't actually show up in the game
